Émile Dubois (murderer)
Louis-Amadeo Brihier Lacroix, alias Émile Dubois (29 April 1867–26 March 1907) was a French-born criminal and serial killer known as a folk hero in Chile. Early life Louis-Amadeo Brihier Lacroix (Aka Émile Dubois), son of Joseph Brihier and Marie Lacroix, killed the father of his girlfriend, a retired policeman, when he was fifteen. He then worked as miner for two years, until a foreman was found dead. After two months in prison for theft, he embarked for Venezuela at the age of twenty taking the name Émile Dubois. In 1903, aided by his two lovers Ursula Morales and her friend Catalina, he murdered a young Peruvian engineer in a trap laid in a brothel in Ouro, stealing the young man's savings. Murder of Ernesto Lafontaine Dubois' first recorded murder in Chile was that of Ernesto Lafontaine in Santiago. Émile-Jules Dubois
Émile-Jules Dubois (28 December 1853 - 7 May 1904) was a French doctor and politician who was a deputy in the National Assembly from 1898 to 1904. Life Émile-Jules Dubois was born on 28 December 1853 in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat, Haute-Vienne. He became a school professor in the city of Paris, and then established himself in the 14th arrondissement of Paris as a doctor of medicine. At one time he was shot by a deranged patient. Later, during a diphtheria epidemic of 1890, he came close to death after treating children infected with the disease. Dubois was a municipal councilor from 1882. He became president of the general counsel of the Seine department, which covered Paris and the suburbs, from 3 April 1897 to 15 June 1898. Dubois was elected deputy for the Seine, representing the second constituency of the 14th arrondissement, in the general legislative elections of 22 May 1898. The Belgian born Émile Fernand-Dubois (1869–1952) was a sculptor and medallist. Dubois exhibited on a regular basis especially at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français. It seems that Dubois became an honorary curator of the Museum of Cosne-sur–Loire later in life and died at Villejuif in 1952, poor and forgotten Marianne, bust He was well known for his bust of Marianne, the original of which can be found in the museum at Cosne-sur-Loire in the Nièvre region which also holds many casts of his works.
