The École Nationale Supérieure d'Électrochimie et d'Électrométallurgie de Grenoble, or ENSEEG, was one of the French ''Grandes écoles'' of engineering (engineering schools). It has been created in 1921 under the name ''Institut d’électrochimie et d’électrométallurgie (IEE)'' (Institute of Electrochemistry and Electrometallurgy). The name ENSEEG has been chosen in 1948 and ENSEEG has been part of ''Grenoble Institute of Technology'' (INPG or GIT) since its creation in 1971. Therefore, the name INPG-ENSEEG has also been commonly used. ENSEEG delivered a multidisciplinary education in physical chemistry. Jean-Jacques Favier (Born April 13, 1949) is a French engineer and a former CNES astronaut who flew aboard the STS-78 NASA Space Shuttle mission. Cyril François Roger Abiteboul (born 14 October 1977) is a French motor racing engineer and manager. From 2013 to 2014 he was the team principal of Caterham Formula One team, and was the managing director of the Renault F1 Team from 2014 to 2020.
