The club was founded in 2017 and currently competing in the Women's Basketball Super League. History The club was founded in May 2017 with the purchase of the competitor rights from Girne Üniversitesi. After competing in the play-off semi finals in their first season, the club played in the play-off finals against Fenerbahçe in the 2018–19 season. The club lost to Fenerbahçe in the finals, but qualified to compete in EuroLeague Women in the 2019–20 season. 2022 Turkish Women's Basketball Cup
The 2022 Turkish Women's Basketball Cup ( tr, 2022 Kadınlar Basketbol Türkiye Kupası) was the 29th edition of Turkey's top-tier level professional women's domestic basketball cup competition. The tournament was held between 22 and 26 March 2022 at the Servet Tazegül Spor Salonu in Mersin. Qualified teams The top eight placed teams after the first half of the 2021–22 Women's Basketball Super League qualified for the tournament. The four highest placed teams are going to play the lowest seeded teams in the quarter-finals. The competition was played under a single elimination format. Nia Coffey (born June 11, 1995) is an American professional basketball player with the Atlanta Dream of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). A small forward, she was drafted with the fifth overall pick in the 2017 WNBA draft, which is the highest of any Northwestern Wildcats women's basketball, Northwestern basketball player in school history. Morgan Tuck (born April 30, 1994) is an American former professional basketball player. She played her first four WNBA seasons with the Connecticut Sun. She won 4 consecutive NCAA championships with the University of Connecticut. She completed her high school career at Bolingbrook High School in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Chelsea Nichelle Gray (born October 8, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Las Vegas Aces of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
