Árni Frederiksberg (born 13 June 1992) is a Faroese professional association football, footballer who plays as an Midfielder (association football), attacking midfielder or a Midfielder (association football), winger for Klaksvíkar Ítróttarfelag, KÍ Klaksvík. Career Árni Frederiksberg has spent most of his career with his childhood club NSÍ Runavík. Saltangará
Saltangará ( da, Saltangerå) is a village in the Faroe Islands, on the island of Eysturoy. Saltangará was founded in 1846 and is situated on the eastern side of Eysturoys Skalafjordur-inlet between Rituvík and Søldarfjørður. The name is derived from three words: ''angar'' comes from the Old Norse ''angr'' which means a fjord or bay; ''á'' means a stream; and ''salt'' has the same meaning in Faroese, Icelandic and English. The village is located in Runavík Municipality along with Æðuvík, Glyvur, Runavík, Rituvík, Skipanes, Søldarfjørdur, Elduvík, Funningsfjørdur, Glyvrar, Oyndarfjørdur, Skáli, Skálafjørdur, Lambi and Lambareidi. The Faroe Islands Premier League (also known as ''Betri deildin menn'' for sponsorship reasons) is the top level of football in the Faroe Islands. It was founded in 1942 as Meistaradeildin, and it is played in current format since 2005, when Premier League replaced 1. deild as the country's top football division. The league is organised by the Faroe Islands Football Association. It is contested by 10 clubs. At the end of every season, two teams are relegated and two promoted from 1. deild. The 2017 Faroe Islands Cup was the 63rd edition of Faroe Islands domestic football cup. The competition started on 1 April and ended on 26 August. The Faroe Islands Cup (, literally the Prime Minister Cup) is the main football cup competition in the Faroe Islands. The first edition was played in 1955. History The HB–TB decade The first decade of the competition was marked by the alternance of titles between HB and TB. Only in its eleventh year, the cup saw a different champion, with B36 defeating rivals HB in the final. Subsequent years In the subsequent editions, the other former finalists also got their first titles; KÍ in 1966, and VB in 1974. 1970 was the only time a final was not played, as the Faroe Islands Sports Association (ÍSF) choose to annul the competition after KÍ, and later VB, refused to play against HB in Tórshavn.
