¡Ay, Jalisco, No Te Rajes! (film)
''¡Ay, Jalisco, no te rajes!'' (English: "Jalisco, don't back down") is a 1941 Mexican film directed by Joselito Rodríguez, starring Jorge Negrete, Gloria Marín and Carlos López. It is the prequel to ''El Ametralladora,'' starring Pedro Infante in the role as Salvador Pérez Gómez 'El Ametralladora'. It is based on the book ¡Ay, Jalisco, no te rajes! by Aurelio Robles Castillo. Evita Muñoz was five years old when she played the character Chachita in the film, and also earning her the nickname she was known by for the length of her career. It was released at the Cine Olimpia on November 12, 1941. Jorge Negrete and Gloria Marín first met at the reading for the film and, although Negrete was already married, they both had chemistry both on and off the camera which became evident in the film. Pedro Infante
Pedro Infante Cruz (; 18 November 1917 – 15 April 1957) was a Mexican ranchera music singer and actor, whose career spanned the golden age of Mexican cinema. His popularity spread across Latin America. Infante was born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, and raised in nearby Guamúchil. He died on 15 April 1957 in Mérida, Yucatán, while en route to Mexico City when his plane crashed due to engine failure. From 1939 until his death, Infante acted in over 60 films (30 of them with his brother Ángel) and recorded over 350 songs. For his performance in the movie ''Tizoc'', he was posthumously awarded the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 7th Berlin International Film Festival. Narciso Busquets Zárate (8 September 1931 – 14 December 1988) was a Mexican actor of theater, film, television, radio and voice-over. He also directed a film, ''Sin fortuna'', in 1980. He began his acting career in 1937, as a child actor, and appeared as one of Cantinflas' sons in ''Ahí está el detalle''. Manuel Noriega Ruiz
Manuel "Manolo" Noriega, (June 24, 1880 – August 12, 1961) was a Spanish-born Mexican stage and film actor, screenwriter, and film director. Born Manuel Noriega Ruiz in Colombres, Spain, he worked in live theatre for many years, performing in his native Spain as well as in Mexico, Cuba and the United States. A pioneer in silent film, he made his first screen appearance in 1907. It is believed some of his early silent films have been lost, but his main body of work began in talkies in the early 1930s, performing in close to two hundred sound films. Noriega earned an Ariel Award nomination for "Best Actor in a minor role" for his performance in the 1946 film ''Pepita Jiménez''. Married to Hortensia Castañeda Avila, their daughter Carmen became a singer who married Tito Guízar. Noriega died of gastric ulcer in Mexico City on August 12, 1961, and is buried at the Panteón Jardín in Mexico City. Serenade
In music, a serenade (; also sometimes called a serenata, from the Italian) is a musical composition or performance delivered in honor of someone or something. Serenades are typically calm, light pieces of music. The term comes from the Italian word , which itself derives from the Latin . Sense influenced by Italian ''sera'' "evening," from Latin ''sera'', fem. of ''serus'' "late." Early serenade music In the oldest usage, which survives in informal form to the present day, a serenade is a musical greeting performed for a lover, friend, person of rank or other person to be honored.
