Yahaya Bello
Yahaya Adoza Bello (born 18 June 1975) is a Nigerian businessman and politician who has served as the Governor of Kogi State since 2016. A member of the All Progressives Congress, Bello has been the youngest governor in Nigeria throughout his term in office. Born in Okene, Bello studied accounting and business administration at Ahmadu Bello University before entering the workforce in the mid-2000s. His electoral career began with a loss to Abubakar Audu in the APC gubernatorial primary in 2015 before Audu won the general election; however, Audu died on the day of the election and Bello was selected as his replacement as party nominee and was sworn in the next year. Four years later, he was elected in his own right, albeit amid substantial reports of violence and fraud. Alhaji Yahaya Madawaki, MFR, OBE, DLL and holder of King George VI Coronation Medal (January 1907 – June 5, 1998) was a prominent Nigerian politician, former Minister of Health, the Madawaki of Ilorin and the Atunluse of Erin-Ile, Kwara State. Early life Alhaji Yahaya was born in 1907 in Ilorin, Kwara State, the oldest son of Abdulkadir Popoola Ayinla-Agbe wealthy Ilorin trader and Salimotu Asabi. He started early education at the Koranic school in the Ago Market area in Ilorin and then Ilorin Provincial primary School. Being top of his class, he was selected to proceed to Katsina Training College, which later became Barewa College, for further education in June 1922. Tan Sri Yahaya bin Ahmad (11 August 1947 – 2 March 1997) was the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of the DRB-HICOM Group of Malaysia. He was famously known as Malaysia's "Car Czar". Yahaya Musa (born December 20, 1986) is an Australian-American soccer player who most recently played for Wilmington Hammerheads in USL Professional Division. Yahaya Maikori is a Nigerian entertainment lawyer. He is the founder of the law firm Law Allianz and the co-founder of the record label Chocolate City. Seidu Yahaya (born 31 December 1989) is a Ghanaian footballer. Career Yahaya started his professional career at Tema Youth in 2006. In 2008, Yahaya was transferred from Tema Youth to Anagennisi Karditsa on a loan deal, where he featured 29 times for the Canaries all making it in the starting eleven.
