Underworld are a British electronic music group formed in 1987 in Cardiff, Wales and the principal collaborative project of Karl Hyde and Rick Smith. Prominent former members include Darren Emerson, from 1991 to 2001, and Darren Price, as part of the live band from 2005 to 2016. ''Beaucoup Fish'' is the fifth album by Underworld, released in 1999. Following the huge success of the single " Born Slippy .NUXX" from its use in the film ''Trainspotting'', ''Beaucoup Fish'' was Underworld's most anticipated release. It spawned several successful singles, including "Push Upstairs", "Jumbo" and " Moaner", which was previously used in the film '' Batman & Robin''. It is the last studio album to feature Darren Emerson, who departed in 2001, and the third album by the techno/house orientated version of Underworld which became active in about 1991/1992 (tracks were being released around this time under the names Lemon Interupt and Underworld). Rick Smith (musician)
Richard Smith (born 25 May 1959) is a Welsh musician and composer. He is a founding member of British electronic music group Underworld and an acclaimed composer, having collaborated extensively with director Danny Boyle, most notably as the musical director for the London 2012 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony, alongside Underworld's Karl Hyde. He is also a founding member of the multi-discipline design and film collective Tomato. Career Smith left a bank clerk job in Llanelli to do an electronic and electrical engineering degree; however, he dropped out during his finals after being asked to join Hyde’s band The Screen Gemz. In 1983 they formed Freur and recorded two albums for CBS Records International. The group disbanded in 1986. ''Second Toughest in the Infants'' is the fourth studio album by British electronic music group Underworld, and the second in their " MK2" line-up with Darren Emerson. With this album, Underworld expanded on their progressive palette, while developing their signature sound of abrasive beats and anthemic melodies. The name of the album derives from a comment made by member Rick Smith's six-year-old nephew, Simon Prosser, when asked on his progress at infant school (the level of schooling attended by four- to seven-year-old children in the United Kingdom). Darren Paul Emerson (born 30 April 1971) is an English musician, DJ and producer best known as a former member of the British electronic music musical ensemble, group Underworld (band), Underworld. Alexandra Palace
Alexandra Palace is a Grade II listed entertainment and sports venue in London, situated between Wood Green and Muswell Hill in the London Borough of Haringey. It is built on the site of Tottenham Wood and the later Tottenham Wood Farm. Originally built by John Johnson and Alfred Meeson, it opened in 1873 but following a fire two weeks after its opening, was rebuilt by Johnson. Funk

Freur was a Welsh New wave music, new wave and synth-pop band featuring Karl Hyde and Rick Smith (musician), Rick Smith, who went on to form the Electronic music, electronic band Underworld (band), Underworld.
