Tore Hem (born 12 November 1944) is a retired Norwegian sport wrestler who competed in three Summer Olympics. He was born in Oslo, and represented the sports club SK av 1909. He competed mostly in the heavyweight class, but sometimes in the light-heavyweight class. At the World Championships he finished fifth in 1967 and fourth in 1969. At the European Championships he finished sixth in 1967, won a silver in 1969, finished fifth in 1975 and sixth in 1978. At the Olympics he finished fifth in 1968 (light-heavyweight), sixth in 1972 (heavyweight) and fifth in 1976 (heavyweight). Tore Hedin (7 January 1927 – 22 August 1952) was a Swedish mass murderer and police officer. The act perpetrated by Hedin, commonly known as ''Hurvamorden'', is infamous for being the worst known act of spree killing in Swedish criminal history, and for the fact that Hedin, as a police officer, had been assigned to investigate his own first murder for an extended period. Hedin also employed a medium, itself unique for a Swedish homicide investigation. First crimes Tore Hedin was born in Stora Harrie, Scania, near Kävlinge. He committed his first crime in September 1943, when he broke into a local brewery near his parental home to steal some oats. To avoid detection, he burned down the brewery to hide his crime; this was a method he used later to cover his tracks when he committed far more serious crimes. Tore Haugen (born 1 October 1931 in Askim) is a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Akershus in 1989, and was re-elected on one occasion. He had previously served in the position of deputy representative during the term 1977–1981. Haugen was a deputy member of Oppegård municipality council in 1963–1967, but became mayor in the periods 1969–1971 and 1971–1975. Tore Hamsun (6 March 1912 – 10 January 1995) was a Norwegian painter, writer, and publisher born in Hamarøy. He was the son of the Nobel Prize winning novelist Knut Hamsun and actress Marie Hamsun. At the age of five, his family moved from Hamarøy to Nørholm, a large agricultural property. Like the rest of his three siblings, he showed artistic ability at a young age but was the only one to take up a career in art. In 1933, he began Torstein Torsteinssons painting school and studied at an Art Academy in Munich from 1934 to 1935. Hamsun later completed studies at the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo and debuted as a painter in 1940. Tore Andreas Gundersen (born 4 February 1986) is a retired football player. Gundersen was born in Kongsvinger, grew up in Flisa and is a son of politician and former swimmer Gunnar Gundersen. Tore Gjelsvik (7 September 1916 – 23 January 2006) was a Norwegian geologist and polar explorer. He headed the Norwegian Polar Institute from 1960 to 1983, and played an important role in the Norwegian resistance during World War II. Personal life Gjelsvik was born in Bodin as the son of Eystein Gjelsvik and Lina Relling.
