The B-Boys
The B-Boys were an American old-school hip hop group, consisted of rappers Donald D, Brother-B, and DJ Chuck Chillout. They were signed to Vincent Davis' Vintertainment label in the United States and Morgan Khan's Streetwave label in the United Kingdom. The group has released five singles from 1983 to 1985, including a 12-inch extended play ''Cuttin' Herbie'', which debuted on 28 January 1984 at number 90 on the UK Albums Chart. A few of their songs became very sampled among other rappers and producers. Disques Vogue
Disques Vogue was a jazz record company founded in France by Léon Cabat and Charles Delaunay in 1947, the year after the American Vogue label ceased. They originally specialized in jazz, featuring American performers such as Sidney Bechet, Dizzy Gillespie, and Gigi Gryce (sessions reissued on CD under Clifford Brown's name), in addition to local musicians Django Reinhardt and Martial Solal. In the late 1950s Vogue expanded into pop music, recording artists such as Petula Clark. In the 1960s and early 1970s the label added Jacques Dutronc and Françoise Hardy. WhoSampled is a website and app database of information about sampled music or sample-based music, cover songs and remixes. History Nadav Poraz founded the site in London, England in 2008, as a way to track musical samples and cover songs. Mobile apps were released in 2012 and 2014 for iPhone and Android, respectively. The website's database is user-generated and reviewed by moderators before the content goes live. As of 2022, the site's most sampled track is the Amen break from the Winstons. In 2015, the site added support for film and television clips. The following year, it partnered with Spotify and introduced a six degrees of separation-inspired game that tracks relationships between artists, producers, and their tracks. ''British Hit Singles & Albums'' (originally known as ''The Guinness Book of British Hit Singles'' and ''The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums'') was a music reference book originally published in the United Kingdom by the publishing arm of the Guinness breweries, Guinness Superlatives. Later editions were published by HiT Entertainment (who had bought the Guinness World Records brand). It listed all the singles and albums featured in the Top 75 pop charts in the UK. In 2004 the book became an amalgamation of two earlier Guinness publications, originally known as ''British Hit Singles'' and ''British Hit Albums''.
