The Rua
The Rua are an Irish/British family pop-rock band from Windsor, England. The band consists of sisters, Roseanna (Lead Vocals, guitar), Alanna (Piano, backing vocals) and brother, Jonathan Brown (violin, vocals, guitar). ''Billboard'' named the band one of "Tomorrow's Hits", also calling the band's "sound" a mix between Taylor Swift, The Cranberries and The Corrs. '' Q'' gave their debut album ''Essence'' a four-star review. In 2019 they were the main opening act for Westlife on the UK dates of The Twenty Tour. History The Rua grew up in Windsor, Berkshire, however, their family roots are all from Ireland, where they spent a lot of their time growing up, playing music and taking part in music competitions. Windsor is a historic market town and unparished area in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England. William Cox (born October 18, 1941) is an American bassist, best known for performing with Jimi Hendrix. Cox is the only surviving musician to have regularly played with Hendrix: first with the experimental group that backed Hendrix at Woodstock (informally referred to as "Gypsy Sun and Rainbows"), followed by the trio with drummer Buddy Miles that recorded the live '' Band of Gypsys'' album, and, lastly, The Cry of Love Tour trio with Mitch Mitchell back on drums. Get The Blessing
Get the Blessing (previously known as the Blessing) are a jazz rock quartet based in Bristol, England. The band formed in 2000 when Jim Barr (bass guitar) and Clive Deamer (drums), who had played with Portishead, joined Jake McMurchie (saxophone) and Pete Judge (trumpet) over their appreciation of Ornette Coleman. Get the Blessing have released six albums; their debut '' All Is Yes'' won best album at the 2008 BBC Jazz Awards. Their album ''Bristopia'' was released in 2018. Portishead (band)
Portishead () is an English band formed in 1991 in Bristol. The band is named after Portishead, Somerset, eight miles west of Bristol, along the coast. The band comprises vocalist Beth Gibbons, producer Geoff Barrow, and musician Adrian Utley; Dave McDonald, an engineer on their first records, is sometimes cited as the fourth member.
