Pundit
A pundit is a person who offers mass media opinion or commentary on a particular subject area (most typically politics, the social sciences, technology or sport). Origins The term originates from the Sanskrit term ('' '' ), meaning "knowledge owner" or "learned man". It refers to someone who is erudite in various subjects and who conducts religious ceremonies and offers counsel to the king and usually referred to a person from the Hindu Brahmin but may also refer to the siddhas, Siddhars, Naths, ascetics, sadhus, or yogis ( rishi). From at least the early 19th century, a Pundit of the Supreme Court in Colonial India was an officer of the judiciary who advised British judges on questions of Hindu law. In Anglo-Indian use, '' pundit'' also referred to a native of India who was trained and employed by the British to survey inaccessible regions beyond the British frontier. Bomber (album)
''Bomber'' is the third studio album by British rock band Motörhead. It was released on 27 October 1979 via Bronze Records, their second with the label. Background By 1979, Motörhead had been together for four years and had amassed a loyal following in both punk and heavy metal circles. After recording an album for United Artists that the label shelved, the band released its eponymous debut LP in 1977, but it was with 1979's ''Overkill'' that the band hit their stride. The title track landed in the UK Top 40 and, after appearing again on ''Top of the Pops'', the band returned to the studio that summer with legendary producer Jimmy Miller to record what would become ''Bomber''. However, the band did not have the opportunity to work up the songs on the road, as they had with their previous album. Black Midi
Black MIDI is a music genre consisting of compositions that use MIDI files to create a song or a remix containing a large number of notes. People who make black MIDIs are known as blackers. However, there are no specific criteria of what is considered "black"; as a result, pinpointing the exact origin of black MIDI is impossible. Origins and early history Though the two are unrelated in origin, the concept of impossible piano existed long before black MIDI, manifesting itself for example within Conlon Nancarrow's work involving player pianos, in which he punched holes in piano rolls, creating extremely complex musical compositions in the same impossible, unplayable spirit of black MIDI. Another precursor to black MIDI is ''Circus Galop'', a player piano composition written by Canadian virtuoso Marc-Andre Hamelin, featuring complex and impossible arrangement with up to 21 notes played simultaneously. Alien (Northlane Album)
''Alien'' (stylised as ''A1IEN'') is the fifth studio album by Australian heavy metal band Northlane. It was released on 2 August 2019 through UNFD. It was self-produced by the band themselves and recorded at Chris Blancato's Studio in Sydney, although Marcus Bridge's vocals were recorded at Electric Sun Studios in Arndell Park. The album's second single, "Bloodline", shows the group's continuity of slight departure from their metalcore roots and towards a more Alternative metal, alternative and Experimental music, experimental sound, as established on their previous releases, ''Node (album), Node'' and ''Mesmer (album), Mesmer''. It also marks the group's first shift into different genres, as they blended into the album elements of nu metal, industrial metal and Electronic dance music, EDM. Krzysztof Kieślowski
Krzysztof Kieślowski (; 27 June 1941 – 13 March 1996) was a Polish film director and screenwriter. He is known internationally for ''Dekalog'' (1989), ''The Double Life of Veronique'' (1991), and the ''Three Colours'' trilogy (1993 –1994).Stok 1993, p. xiii.
