Isolation (Toto Album)
''Isolation'' is the Gold-certified fifth studio album by Toto, released on October 18, 1984. ''Isolation'' is the first album to feature longtime bassist Mike Porcaro and the only album with Fergie Frederiksen as the primary vocalist. ''Isolation'' failed to achieve the popularity of its predecessor, ''Toto IV'', although it achieved gold record status and gave the band their highest charting mainstream rock single " Stranger in Town" (No. 7). Relatively few songs from this album were featured in live performances after 1985's Isolation World Tour. Background and recording While ''Toto IV'' was a massive, Grammy winning success, Toto elected not to mount a U.S. tour behind the album, a decision Steve Lukather has since regretted as a missed opportunity to become a "US-arena rock band." Part of the reluctance to tour was the ongoing personal and legal drug-related problems of lead vocalist Bobby Kimball. As the band began sessions for ''Isolation,'' Kimball reportedly struggled ba ...

The Dream Weaver
''The Dream Weaver'' is a solo album by Gary Wright released in July 1975. The album was said by Wright to be the first-ever all-keyboard album (though there were many all-synthesizer LPs before this, including ''Switched-On Bach'' by Wendy Carlos, in 1968), but in fact it also features drums, vocals, and guitar, among other instruments. The performers include David Foster, Bobby Lyle, and Wright himself on keyboards, and Jim Keltner and Andy Newmark on drums. The track "Power of Love" featured Wright's Warner Bros. labelmate Ronnie Montrose on electric guitar. The album's success was a slow but steady accomplishment as the album eventually peaked at number 7 on ''Billboard'' Top LPs & Tape chart in the spring of 1976. The album's title cut (unlike the album, the song omits the article "The") and " Love Is Alive" both peaked at number 2 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 singles chart. Track listing All songs written by Gary Wright except where noted. Personnel *Gary Wright ...

Farfisa
Farfisa (Fabbriche Riunite di Fisarmoniche) is a manufacturer of electronics based in Osimo, Italy, founded in 1946. The company manufactured a series of compact electronic organs in the 1960s and 1970s, including the Compact, FAST, Professional and VIP ranges, and later, a series of other keyboard instruments. They were used by a number of popular musicians including Sam the Sham, Pink Floyd, Sly Stone, Blondie, and the B-52s. The company was formed after three Italian accordion manufacturers combined to form a single company. They began to produce electronic instruments in the late 1950s, and combo organs were introduced in response to similar instruments such as the Vox Continental. The relatively inexpensive Italian labour allowed Farfisa to sell their products cheaper than the competition, which led to their commercial success. Popular models included the Compact series introduced in 1964, the Professional in 1967, the FAST in 1968 and the VIP in 1970. The success of Farfi ...
