Saitual District
Saitual district is one of the eleven districts of Mizoram state in India. Saitual district became operational on 3 June 2019.The District Commissioner right now is involved with corruption along with the Village Council members of Keifang VC.They corrupted Millions of rupees which is to be given to the land ownwers of Keifang. History The Demand for Saitual District had started from 1974. The Citizen Committee was established in 1993. The Saitual District Implenting Demand Committee consisting of several civil society groups who staged demonstrations for Demanding a full-fledged district. Saitual District was finally created on 12 September 2008. The Indian state of Mizoram is divided into 11 districts. History When Mizoram became a union territory on 21 January 1972, it was divided into three districts: Aizawl, Lunglei and Chhimtuipui. Later five more districts were carved out of the already existing three districts. Mizoram
Mizoram () is a state in Northeast India, with Aizawl as its seat of government and capital city. The name of the state is derived from "Mizo people, Mizo", the endonym, self-described name of the native inhabitants, and "Ram", which in the Mizo language means "land." Thus "Mizo-ram" means "land of the Mizos". Within India's northeast region, it is the southernmost landlocked state, sharing borders with three of the Seven Sister States, namely Tripura, Assam and Manipur. Saitual is a census town in saitual district in the Indian state of Mizoram.The capital of Saitual District saitual district is Saitual. History Saitual, earlier known as Saihmar Khan, was founded by Dorawta Sailo who after conversion wanted to create a Christian settlement in the year 1912, at first about 16 families joined them but later more people joined them in 1916, as population increased schools and other facilities were created. There is, however, disagreement about who founded the village. According to the dissenters, about 12 families had already settled in Saitual in 1914. Since the fledgling village was situated in the ruling clan Sailo lands, Dorawta Sailo was approached to become Chief of the village which he did in 1915. Literacy In India
Literacy in India is a key for social-economic progress. The 2011 census, indicated a 2001–2011 literacy growth of 97.2%, which is slower than the growth seen during the previous decade. An old analytical 1990 study estimated that it would take until 2060 for India to achieve universal literacy at then-current rate of progress. Census of India pegged average literacy rate to be 73% in 2011 while National Statistical Commission surveyed literacy to be 77.7% in 2017–18. Lok Sabha
The Lok Sabha, constitutionally the House of the People, is the lower house of India's bicameral Parliament, with the upper house being the Rajya Sabha. Members of the Lok Sabha are elected by an adult universal suffrage and a first-past-the-post system to represent their respective constituencies, and they hold their seats for five years or until the body is dissolved by the President on the advice of the council of ministers. Mizoram (Lok Sabha Constituency)
Mizoram is the only Lok Sabha (lower house of the Indian parliament) constituency in the Northeast Indian state of Mizoram, and covers the entire area of the state. The seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribes. Its first member of parliament (MP) was Sangliana of the Mizo Union who represented this constituency in the Fifth Lok Sabha when it became a union territory on 21 January 1972. The State Legislative Assembly, or Vidhan Sabha, or also Saasana Sabha, is a legislative body in the states and union territories of India. In the 28 states and 3 union territories with a unicameral state legislature, it is the sole legislative body and in 6 states it is the lower house of their bicameral state legislatures with the upper house being State Legislative Council. 5 union territories are governed directly by the Union Government of India and have no legislative body. Each Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is directly elected to serve 5-year terms by single-member constituencies. Aizawl
Aizawl (; Mizo: ) is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. Aizawl was officially established on 25 February 1890. With a population of 293,416, it is the largest city in the state. It is also the centre of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat. The population of Aizawl strongly reflects the different communities of the ethnic Mizo people.
