Sports Associations (East Germany)
Sports Associations (german: Sportvereinigung (SV), ) in East Germany were nation-wide sports agencies for certain economic branches of the whole society, which were members of the Deutscher Turn- und Sportbund (DTSB) Members of biggest social employers had their own branch sports clubs or the ''Sportvereinigung''. Central sports associations were set up in East Germany based on the Soviet model as a result of a decision by the German Sport Committee (german: Deutscher Sportausschuss) (DS) on 3 April 1950. The decision envisaged the formation of central sports associations based on the union structure in East Germany, where each sports association represented a trade union area. A total of 18 sports associations were set up after 1950. 14 of 18 sports association were dissolved as independent organizations after the founding of the DTSB in 1957. The German Federal Archives or Bundesarchiv (BArch) (german: Bundesarchiv) are the National Archives of Germany. They were established at the current location in Koblenz in 1952. They are subordinated to the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media ( Claudia Roth since 2021) under the German Chancellery, and before 1998, to the Federal Ministry of the Interior. On 6 December 2008, the Archives donated 100,000 photos to the public, by making them accessible via Wikimedia Commons. History The federal archive for institutions and authorities in Germany, the first precursor to the present-day Federal Archives, was established in Potsdam, Brandenburg in 1919, a later date than in other European countries. FC Anker Wismar
FC Anker Wismar is a German association football club based in Wismar, Germany, currently playing in the Verbandsliga Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. History The club's origins date back to 1904 when ''FC Elite Wismar'' were established. The following year, the club was renamed to ''Wismarer FC 1905''. From 1909 the club was known as ''Germania Wismar'' and during the World War II, ''TSV Wismar'' played in the Gauliga Nordmark. Chemie Böhlen
SV Chemie Böhlen is a German football club based in Böhlen, Saxony. The club is the successor to ''BSG Chemie Böhlen'' which played four seasons in the former East German first division DDR-Oberliga. History The original ''Chemie'' was formed in October 1952 as a merger of ''BSG Aktivist West'' and ''BSG Aktivist Mitte'', which were founded in 1949 as ''BSG Benzinwerk'' and ''BSG Brennstoff'' respectively and renamed in July 1951. The first league ''Aktivist'' entered was the Bezirksliga Leipzig (III-IV) and stayed there until they won promotion to the 2. DDR-Liga (III) after a Leipzig district title win in 1956. They lasted for six more seasons until the 2. Liga was scrapped in 1963, when they were one of 64 teams regrouped in the Bezirksliga because a third-place finish for them was way short of a promotion playoff place. TSV Chemie Premnitz
A tab-separated values (TSV) file is a simple text format for storing data in a tabular structure, e.g., a database table or spreadsheet data, and a way of exchanging information between databases. Each record in the table is one line of the text file. Each field value of a record is separated from the next by a tab character. The TSV format is thus a variation of the comma-separated values format. TSV is a simple file format that is widely supported, so it is often used in data exchange to move tabular data between different computer programs that support the format. For example, a TSV file might be used to transfer information from a database program to a spreadsheet. The IANA standard for TSV achieves simplicity by simply disallowing tabs within fields. Hallescher FC
Hallescher FC, sometimes still called by its former popular name Chemie Halle, is a German association football club based in Halle an der Saale, Saxony-Anhalt. The club currently plays in the 3. Liga, the third highest level in the German football league system. For many years, Halle had been in East Germany's highest league, the DDR-Oberliga, up-until the German reunification. However, like many other teams from the former East, it then suffered the effects of economic and demographic decline in the region in the 1990s and fell down to amateur leagues. Since 2000, Hallescher FC has ended its downward trend and in the 2011–2012 season, they finally returned to a professional football league after 20 years of absence. FSV Krumhermersdorf
FSV Krumhermersdorf is an association football club from Krumhermersdorf, Zschopau, Saxony, Germany. The club was founded on 1 July 1921. Under the name BSG Aufbau Krumhermersdorf and BSG Aufbau dkk Krumhermersdorf, it reached as high as the DDR-Liga, the second tier in East Germany, where it played in the penultimate (1989–90) season of the DDR-Liga. ''Neues Deutschland'' (''nd''; en, New Germany, sometimes stylized in lowercase letters) is a left-wing German daily newspaper, headquartered in Berlin. For 43 years it was the official party newspaper of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED), which governed East Germany (officially known as the German Democratic Republic), and as such served as one of the party's most important organs.
