Rural Municipality (Nepal)
A gaunpalika ( ne, गाउँपालिका, lit=rural municipality, translit=Gāum̐pālikā ) is an administrative division in Nepal. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development dissolved the existing village development committees and announced the establishment of this new local body. It is a sub-unit of a district. There are currently 460 rural municipalities. History The village development committee was the previous governing body of villages in Nepal. They were replaced on 10 May 2017 by the rural municipalities which were formed by combining different VDCs. The decision was taken by the cabinet of Nepal after modifications in the report proposed by the Local Level Restructuring Commission. Initially 481 rural municipalities were formed but it was later changed to 460 municipalities. Rupandehi District ( ne, रुपन्देही जिल्ला; ), a part of Lumbini Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal and covers an area of . The district headquarter is Bhairahawa. Gadhawa Rural Municipality (Nepali: गढवा गाउँपालिका sometimes गडवा गाउँपालिका) is located in Deukhuri valley of Dang district of Lumbini Province, Nepal. This rural municipality was declared on Falgun 12, 2073 Vikram Samvat. It lies from 195 meter to 885 meter above sea level. Bardiya District
Bardiya District ( ne, बर्दिया जिल्ला), one of the seventy-seven Districts of Nepal, is part of Lumbini Province of Nepal. The district, with Gulariya as its headquarters, covers an area of and according to the 2001 census the population was 382,649 in 2011 it has 426,576. Geography and climate Bardiya lies in Lumbini Province in midwestern Nepal. Badhaiyatal
Badhaiyatal ( ne, बढैयाताल) is a rural municipality located in Bardiya District of Lumbini Province of Nepal. The rural municipality came into existence on 10 March 2017 when the government of Nepal decided to dissolve the old administrative structure and reconstruct a new administrative division. Jamuni, Sorhawa, Manpur Mainapokhar and Kalika VDCs were merged to form this new rural municipality. The rural municipality divided into 9 wards and Mainapokhar declared headquarter of the rural municipality.
