Rawat (Raute), or "Jangali" (Jungle), is a small Sino-Tibetan language of India. It is spoken in 9 villages north of Askot in Pithoragarh district, Uttarakhand, India (''Ethnologue'') as well as in several villages in Dadeldhura District, Nepal and Darchula District, Nepal. Rawat (pronounced "raut") is a semi-agglutinative language, and features SOV sentences with either monosyllabic or less frequently di-syllabic noun heads and verb stems. Verbs are modified with various particles, including nominalizers, causatives, tense, aspect, person, number and other generally stem final particles. The noun heads have plurals, locatives, deictics, ergatives, reflexives and other generally word-final case markings. Prefixed morphemes similar to adjectives also modify nouns and root-initial voiced/voiceless alternations signal the transitivity of verbs. Rawat Fort ( ur, ) is an early 16th century fort in the Pothohar plateau of Pakistan, near the city of Rawalpindi in the province of Punjab. The fort was built to defend the Pothohar plateau from the forces of the Pashtun king Sher Shah Suri. Location It is 17 km east of Rawalpindi on Grand Trunk Road. The 2nd century Mankiala stupa can be seen from the roof of the fort's mosque. Prashant Singh Rawat (born 15 August 2000) is an Indian professional basketball player, last playing for Uttarakhand of the National Basketball Championship. Personal Prashant Singh Rawat is the son of Narendra Singh Rawat, a former India national team player who represented his home country from 1993 to 2000 at several international events in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and China. After this, Narendra Singh Rawat was appointed as a physical teacher in a private school in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. During this time he continued to practice basketball with Prashant. In later years Prashant went on to Motiram Baburam Government Post Graduate College where he was part of the basketball team. Playing career Rawat was selected for the NBA Academy in 2017 as one of the top 22 children in the country.

General Bipin Rawat (16 March 1958 – 8 December 2021) was an Indian military officer who was a four-star general of the Indian Army. He served as the first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Indian Armed Forces from January 2020 until his death in a helicopter crash in December 2021.
