In Denmark, rindalism (Danish language, Danish: ) refers to opposition to abstract art and especially public funding thereof. Named after , the term covered the mid-1960s movement in Denmark against the establishment of Danish Arts Foundation, Statens Kunstfond. Background On 27 May 1964, the parties in the Folketing, Danish Parliament, except for Independent Party (Denmark), De Uafhængige, voted for the law on Statens Kunstfond. The law introduced a new administrative body, Statens Kunstfond, as well as a reprioritisation and massive expansion of art support, so that it reached 3.5 million Danish krone, kr. On 29 January 1965, the first young artists received the first three-year scholarships. Henrik Dahl (politician)
Johan Henrik Dahl (born 20 February 1960) is a Danish author and politician who since 2015 has been a member of the Folketing for the Liberal Alliance. Dahl first ran for parliament in the 2015 general election, where he was elected with 2,902 votes cast for him. He was reelected in the 2019 election with 1,737 votes. In Denmark, his book from 1997, ''Hvis din nabo var en bil'' (''If your neighbor was a car''), has been considered a cultural sociological masterpiece. Dahl has described himself as a rindalist. Danish People's Party
The Danish People's Party ( da, Dansk Folkeparti, DPP/DF) is a nationalist and right-wing populist political party in Denmark. It was formed in 1995 by former members of the Progress Party (FrP). The DPP lent its support to the Venstre– Conservative People's Party coalition government that ruled from the general election of 2001 until the 2011 election defeat. Alex Ahrendtsen (born 14 February 1967 in Kolding) is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Danish People's Party. He was elected into parliament at the 2011 Danish general election. Political career Ahrendtsen was in the municipal council of Odense Municipality from 2006 to 2017. He was first elected into the Folketing in the 2011 general election, where he received 2,462 personal votes. He was reelected in the 2015 election with 4,996 personal votes, and again in the 2019 election with 2,656 personal votes. The Liberal Alliance ( in Danish) is a classical liberal and right-libertarian political party in Denmark. The party is a component of the centre-right bloc in Danish politics. Tabloid journalism is a popular style of largely sensationalist journalism (usually dramatized and sometimes unverifiable or even blatantly false), which takes its name from the tabloid newspaper format: a small-sized newspaper also known as half broadsheet. History and profile ''Dagbladet Information'' was established and published by the Danish resistance movement in 1943 during World War II. Progress Party (Denmark)
The Progress Party ( da, Fremskridtspartiet, ''FrP'') is a right-wing populist political party in Denmark which was founded in 1972. The party's founder, the former lawyer Mogens Glistrup, gained widespread popularity as well as notoriety in the country after he appeared on Danish television, stating that he paid 0% in income tax. The party was placed on the right of the political spectrum as it believed in radical tax cuts (including removing the income tax altogether) and vowed to cut government spending.
