People's organization is a generic term for organizations in the People's Republic of China excluding governments, the official departments of government, and enterprises or institutions, yet are recognized to be a part of Chinese Communist Party's united front. Wan Lijun
Wan Lijun ( zh, 万立骏, born July 1957) is a Chinese chemist, specializing in electrochemistry and surface science. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a former president of the University of Science and Technology of China. Career Wan graduated with a B.S. in Engineering from Dalian University of Technology in 1982 and received his PhD degree at Tohoku University in 1996. He has been a professor at Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS) since 1999, and was the director of ICCAS from 2004 to 2013. China Disabled Persons' Federation
The China Disabled Persons' Federation, also known as the CDPF, is a people's organization for individuals with disability in China established in Beijing, China in March 1988, aiming to represent and safeguard the rights and interests of disabled people. The predecessors of the CDPF are the China Association for the Blind and Deaf, established in 1960 and the China Welfare Fund for the Handicapped established in 1984. The three basic functions of the CDPF are to represent the interests of people with disabilities in China and help protect their legitimate rights, to provide them with comprehensive and effective services and to supervise affairs relating to people with disabilities commissioned by the Chinese government. The emblem of the CDPF looks like a plum flower which features prominently in Chinese art and culture. Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League
The Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League (TDSL), also known by its Chinese abbreviation Taimeng ( zh , s = 台盟 , t = 臺盟 ), is one of the eight legally recognized minor political parties in the People's Republic of China that are members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference under the Chinese Communist Party's United Front. It was founded in the then-British colony of Hong Kong in November 1947, by members of the Taiwanese Communist Party who survived the February 28 incident. The ''People's Daily'' () is the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The newspaper provides direct information on the policies and viewpoints of the CCP. The ''All-China Journalists Association'' (ACJA) (), previously known as the 'Chinese Young Journalist Association', was established in Shanghai on November 8, 1937. November 8 now marks 'National Journalists Day' in China. The society was established by Chinese wartime reporter Fan Changjiang and later organized and sponsored by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). On September 15, 1949, the All China Journalist Association became the first Chinese media association to be formally recognized by, and integrated into, the International Federation of Journalists. Membership in the association is required for all professional journalists in China as overseen by the Propaganda Department of the Chinese Communist Party.
