Pogs
Milk caps is a children's game played with flat circular cardboard milk caps. Players make a stack of these caps, and take turns to drop a heavier "slammer" object onto it, causing the caps to be disrupted. Each player keeps any face-up caps and is to restack the face-down caps, repeating the process until none land face-down, at which point the player who collected the most caps wins the game of milk caps. The game is also known as Pogs, under which name it was sold commercially in the 1990s. Pog (drink)
POG, or Passion Orange Guava, is a tropical juice drink created in 1971 by a food product consultant named Mary Soon, who worked for Haleakala Dairy on Maui, Hawaii. The name ''POG'' is an acronym for three fruits from which it is made: passionfruit, orange (fruit), orange, and guava. POG is produced by Meadow Gold Dairies (Hawaii), Meadow Gold Dairy, a subsidiary of Dean Foods. Similar blends of passionfruit, orange and guava juices are also produced by other companies. Canada Games Company
Canada Games was a Canadian games manufacturing company, originally based in Brampton, Ontario, before moving to nearby Concord. Its slogan was "The Best in Fun from Canada Games." It's notable that despite being a far smaller company than its American competition, the Canada Games Company was able to remain a force in the market for many years. Its products included toys, board games and puzzles, particularly those related to popular movies and television shows. The company's most popular item was Pogs. With the end of the Pogs fad, Canada Games went out of business in 1997. Canada Games in its 14-year history produced a large number of items still commonly found on store shelves especially in smaller towns. This is a list of games that used to be played by children, some of which are still being played today. ''Squid Game'' () is a South Korean survival drama television series created by Hwang Dong-hyuk for Netflix. Its cast includes Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Wi Ha-joon, HoYeon Jung, O Yeong-su, Heo Sung-tae, Anupam Tripathi, and Kim Joo-ryoung. Survival Film
The survival film is a film genre in which one or more characters make an effort at physical survival. It often overlaps with other film genres. It is a subgenre of the adventure film, along with swashbuckler films, war films, and safari films. Survival films are darker than most other adventure films and usually focus their storyline on a single character, usually the protagonist. The films tend to be "located primarily in a contemporary context", so film audiences are familiar with the setting, and the characters' activities are less romanticized. In a 1988 book, Thomas Sobchack compared the survival film to romance film: "They both emphasize the heroic triumph over obstacles which threaten social order and the reaffirmation of predominant social values such as fair play and respect for merit and cooperation." Pinyin
Hanyu Pinyin (), often shortened to just pinyin, is the official romanization system for Standard Mandarin Chinese in China, and to some extent, in Singapore and Malaysia.
