Bakala (Central African Republic)
Bakala is a sub-prefecture and town in the Ouaka Prefecture of the southern-central Central African Republic. It is located near the geographic center of the country. History On 30 November 2016 Bakala was captured by FPRC armed group after battle with UPC group. It was recaptured by UPC on 11 December and again captured by FPRC on 11 January 2017. In April 2017 Bakala was reportedly under joint control of FPRC and Anti-balaka The Anti-balaka is an alliance of militia groups based in the Central African Republic in the early 21st century said to be composed primarily of Christians. Bambari
Bambari is a town in the Central African Republic, lying on the Ouaka River. It has a population of 41,356 (2003 census) and is the capital of Ouaka prefecture. Bambari is an important market town and is home to Bambari Airport, and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bambari. Mining Large deposits of iron ore have been discovered in the vicinity of Bambari, though the considerable distance to the sea—1500 km—probably makes exploitatation of these reserves doubtful in the near future. A heavy duty railway and a deepwater port in a neighbouring country would be required. The mining resource also includes iron deposits at Bakala. Grimari
Grimari is a city located in the Ouaka prefecture in Central African Republic, approximately away from the capital, Bangui. The politician Abel Goumba was born in Grimari. History On March 1, 1910, Grimari replaced Pouyamba as the capital of the subdivision in the district of Kémo. This subdivision was attached to the constituency of Bambari from the 1st of January1920. In 1930, the African Textile Company set up a ginning factory, this cotton company would become Cotonaf. After World War II, the administrative reform of October 16, 1946, made Grimari a district capital of the Ouaka-Kotto region. On January 23, 1961, the independent Central African Republic established the city of Grimari as the capital of the sub-prefecture.
