Orrible
''Orrible'' is a British television sitcom produced by the BBC. Broadcast in 2001, it was written by and starred Johnny Vaughan. Vaughan stars as a cheeky chappy taxi-cab driver and wannabe small-time criminal in Acton (west London). Despite the BBC being confident and heavily promoting the series, it was panned by critics for the script and Vaughan's acting ability. It achieved very low viewing figures and ran for one series, and has never been repeated by the BBC. "Ultimately, it was shit" said Vaughan in a 2004 interview in ''The Stage''. James Buckley made his acting debut playing Sean's son (and Paul's godson) in the sixth episode, ''Two Men and a Bastard''. In 2017, Vaughan approached the BBC with prospect to repeat the series either via BBC Four or on-line channel BBC Three to mark its 15th Anniversary, both with a sense of irony but also to potentially gain it new recognition. Johnny Vaughan
Jonathan Randal Vaughan (born 16 July 1966) is an English television and radio presenter and a film critic. He was the main presenter of ''Capital Breakfast'' alongside Lisa Snowdon on 95.8 Capital FM between 2004 and 2011. Vaughan currently presents the Radio X drivetime show, weekdays from 4pm to 7pm (commonly referred to on air as ''The 4til7 Thang'') and ''The Kickabout'' every Saturday from 11am to 1pm. Vaughan also writes a weekly column in '' The Sun'' newspaper reviewing recent film releases. A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. William Boyde
William Boyde (born March 1953) is a British actor, best known for his work on the British soap opera ''EastEnders'' (1986–1989, 1992, 2017). He was educated at Cheltenham College where he appeared as an extra in the film If...which was filmed at the school. His character James Willmott-Brown became one of the soap's most renowned villains after raping barmaid Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) in 1988, and then terrorizing her in 1992. Lee Oakes
Lee Oakes (born 1976) is an English actor best known for his role as Munch Wilkinson in the British comedy ''Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps'' and as Kev in the British television series '' After You've Gone,'' a friend and fellow builder of Jimmy Venables. BBC Three is a British free-to-air public broadcast television channel owned and operated by the BBC. It was first launched on 9 February 2003 with programmes targeting 16 to 34-year-olds, covering all genres including animation, comedy, current affairs, and drama series. James Patrick Buckley (born 14 August 1987) is an English actor, musician, YouTuber and streamer. He is best known for playing Jay Cartwright in the E4 sitcom ''The Inbetweeners.'' Early life and education James Patrick Buckley was born in Croydon, England. His father was a postman and his mother worked for the Home Office.
