Adex Mining
Adex Mining Inc. is a Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based mining exploration company engaged in the development of its wholly owned Mount Pleasant Mine property in Charlotte County, New Brunswick, Canada. According to a Government of Canada report, Mount Pleasant is "North America's largest tin deposit and the world's largest reserve of indium." The company's stock trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol ADE. Adex holds 102 mineral claims at Mount Pleasant covering approximately 1,600 hectares (4,000 acres), as well as 405 hectares (1,000 acres) of surface rights. Bard Ventures Company
Bard Ventures Ltd. ({{tsxv, CBS) was a Canadian mining and exploration company headquartered in Vancouver. The company conducted exploratory drilling to assess mineral rights within the Lone Pine Molybdenum Property outside of Houston, British Columbia, specifically focusing on molybdenum. The company has also held interests in several other projects, including a 50% interest in the Wasi Creek Zinc Lead Silver Project, outside of Mackenzie, British Columbia. History The Lone Pine property has seen extensive historical exploration. A Minister of Mines and Resources (Canada) annual report from 1914 was the first mention of workings on the property, detailing a shaft intersection of a narrow silver-lead-zinc-copper-gold bearing quartz vein. Various surface workings continued in the 1920s as additional veins were discovered. Cleveland-Cliffs
Cleveland-Cliffs Inc., formerly Cliffs Natural Resources, is a Cleveland, Ohio-based company that specializes in the mining, beneficiation, and pelletizing of iron ore, as well as steelmaking, including stamping and tooling. It is the largest flat-rolled steel producer in North America. Operations Cleveland-Cliffs manages and operates four iron ore mines in Minnesota and two mines in Michigan, one of which, the Empire Mine, has been indefinitely idled. These mines produce various grades of iron ore pellets, including standard and fluxed, for use in blast furnaces as part of the steelmaking process as well as Direct Reduced (DR) grade pellets for use in Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) applications. CMOC or CMOC Group Limited (), previously known as China Molybdenum Company Limited, is the largest molybdenum producer in Mainland China and among the world's largest companies in the field. It is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Shanghai Stock Exchange. In addition, it is also one of the largest tungsten producers in the world, and is the second largest producer of Cobalt and Niobium as well as leading Copper producer worldwide. Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (, known as Chalco), is a Chinese company listed in Hong Kong and in New York. A multinational aluminium company, its headquarters are in Beijing, People's Republic of China. It is the world's second-largest alumina producer and third-largest primary aluminium producer (and the largest producer in China). Cape Breton Development Corporation
The Cape Breton Development Corporation, or DEVCO, was a Government of Canada Crown corporation. It ceased operation on December 31, 2009, after being amalgamated with Enterprise Cape Breton Corporation (ECBC). DEVCO was organized primarily into two divisions: a community economic development organization, and the coal division. From March 30, 1968, until November 23, 2001, DEVCO's coal division operated Canada's largest underground coal mines, located in eastern Cape Breton County, Nova Scotia. Following decommissioning of its mines, DEVCO sold all non-mining surface assets to the private sector on December 18, 2001, including the Devco Railway and is now remediating its mine sites. Canico Resource
Canico Resource Corp. is a Vancouver, British Columbia-based junior resource company focused on the development of the Onça-Puma nickel laterite project located in Para State, Brazil. This is a large, high-grade, open-pittable deposit which is one of the world's best undeveloped nickel projects. According to the feasibility studies, the plant will have a nominal capacity to produce 57,000 tons of nickel per year, and its development will demand investments of US$1.1 billion. Production startup of the first module was scheduled for 2008. The company was founded in 2004 and was headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Canico Resource was known for its operations at the Serra dos Carajas mine in Brazil, which was one of the largest iron ore mines in the world. Candente Copper is developing its flagship project Cañariaco, within which Cañariaco Norte, is the 10th largest late-stage copper resource in the world (over 9B pounds copper, 2.1M ounces of gold and 59.4M ounces of silver Measured and Indicated*) and 6th highest in grade (RFC Ambrian, December 2021 and Haywood, December 2021). A positive PEA was recently completed on its 100% owned Cañariaco project. Cambior
Cambior Inc. was a Canadian based international gold producer with operations, development projects and exploration activities in the Americas. Cambior's shares traded on the Toronto (TSX) and American (AMEX) stock exchanges under the symbol "CBJ". Cambior's warrants "CBJ.WT.C" traded on the TSX. In November 2006 IAMGOLD acquired 100% of Cambior shares. Bougainville Copper
Bougainville Copper Limited (BCL) is a mining company of Papua New Guinea (PNG) that is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). BCL operated the copper, gold and silver mine at the Panguna mine on Bougainville Island in PNG from 1971 to 1989. Mining operations were officially halted on 15 May 1989, due to militant activity and the mine has remained closed since. Boliden AB
Boliden AB is a Swedish multinational metals, mining, and smelting company headquartered in Stockholm. The company produces zinc, copper, lead, nickel, silver, and gold, with operations in Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Ireland. Boliden is linked to major environmental disaster in Spain and is also accused of threatening human rights defenders following thdisposal of toxic wastein Chile.
