Kenyasi
Kenyasi is a town in Ghana and it's the capital of the Asutifi North District in the Ahafo Region. Kenyasi is a combination of two towns: Kenyasi No.1 and Kenyasi No.2 Kenyasi has abundance of Gold resources hence Newmont, Ghana Ahafo mine having their operations in the area since 2007. Kenyasi has direct routes to places such as Mim, Ahafo( 24 km); Hwidiem ( 5 km); Ntotroso (13 km). Notable secondary educational institution in this town is the OLA Girls Senior High School (Kenyasi) Economy Agricultural farming is the main occupation in Kenyasi. The major cash crops grown in this area is cocoa. Plantain, Cassava are among the food crops grown by residents in the area mostly on subsistence basis. Ahafo Region
The Ahafo Region is a newly created region in Ghana with Goaso as its capital. The region has administrative and governmental legislature like all the ten already existing regions in Ghana. The region was carved out of the south-eastern part of the Brong Ahafo Region and was in fulfillment of a campaign promise made by New Patriotic Party. Prior to the 2016 Ghanaian general election, the then candidate Nana Akufo-Addo declared that when elected, he would explore the possibility of creating new regions out of some of the existing regions in Ghana in order to bring government closer to citizens. Asutifi District
Asutifi District is a former district that was located in Brong-Ahafo Region (now currently in Ahafo Region), Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988. However on 1 February 2012 (effectively 28 June 2012), it was split off into two new districts: Asutifi North District (capital: Kenyasi) and Asutifi South District (capital: Hwidiem). OLA Girls Senior High School (Kenyasi)
Ola Girls' Secondary School is first female second cycle institution in Kenyase No. 2 to be established in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. History Ola Girls' Secondary School was established in 1973 by the Catholic Sisters, Our Lady of Apostles in collaboration with the late Rev James Kwadwo Owusu, and the then Omanhene of the Kenyasi No.2 Traditional Area, Nana Nsiah Ababio. Asutifi North District
Asutifi North District is one of the six districts in Ahafo Region, Ghana. The District was formerly part of the then-larger Asutifi District since 1988, until the southern part of the district was split off to create Asutifi South District on 28 June 2012. The remaining norther part is Asutifi North District. The district assembly is located in the eastern part of Ahafo Region and has Kenyasi as its capital town. References

Mim (Ghana)
Mim is a city in the Asunafo North Municipal District in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. It is a nodal town between Sunyani and Goaso via the N12 road (Ghana), N12 Highway. The distance from Mim to Sunyani is 64 km whilst that of Mim to Goaso is 14 km. Mim also has direct routes to: Kumasi; Accra; Kenyasi;Dormaa Ahenkro; Nkrankwanta and Sefwi Debiso. The Districts of Ghana are second-level administrative subdivisions of Ghana, below the level of region. There are 261 local metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies (or MMDA's). History The districts of Ghana were re-organized in 1988/1989 in an attempt to decentralize the government and to assist in development. The reform of the late 1980s subdivided the regions of Ghana into 110 districts, where local district assemblies should deal with the local administration. Ntotroso is a town in the Asutifi North District in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. The distance from Ntotroso to Kenyasi, the District capital is 13km while that of Sunyani, the Bono regional capital is 41km. Notable tertiary institution in this town, is the Ntotroso Nursing college. Economy Agricultural farming is the main occupation in Ntotroso. The national flag of Ghana consists of a horizontal triband of Red, Gold, and Green. It was designed in replacement of the British Gold Coast's Blue Ensign. The flag was adopted upon the independence of the Dominion of Ghana on March 6, 1957. It was designed the same year by Theodosia Okoh, a renowned Ghanaian artist. The Ahafo mine is one of the largest gold mines in the Republic of Ghana and in the world. The mine is located in the center of the country in Brong-Ahafo Region.
