Joanneumite
Joanneumite, confirmed as a new mineral in 2012, is the first recognized isocyanurate mineral, with the formula Cu(C3N3O3H2)2(NH3)2. It is also an ammine-containing mineral, a feature shared with ammineite, chanabayaite and shilovite. All the minerals are very rare and were found in a guano deposit in Pabellón de Pica, Chile.Mindat, Pabellón de Pica, http://www.mindat.org/loc-192704.html See also *Copper(II) cyanurate References

Chanabayaite
Chanabayaite is the first recognized triazolate mineral, having the formula . Minor iron admixture is also present. It is also one of a few currently known minerals containing ammine groups, including also ammineite, joanneumite and shilovite. All the minerals are rare and were found in a single guano deposit in Chile, called Pabellón de Pica. A similar natural phase, formula , likely a precursor of chanabayaite, is described by Zubkova et al. 2016.Zubkova, N.V., Chukanov, N.V., Pekov, I., and Pushcharovsky, D., 2016. The crystal structure of the natural 1,2,4-triazolate compound . Zeitschrift für Kristallographie - Crystalline Materials 231(1), 47–53. Crystal structure The main features of the crystal structure of chanabayaite are: * copper forms octahedra, part of which share corners * 1,2,4-triazolate anions link the octahedra Association Chanabayaite coexists with halite, joanneumite, nitratine, salammoniac and paragenetically-unrelated chalcopyrite. Chalcopyrite is presen ...

Isocyanurate
Cyanuric acid or 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triol is a chemical compound with the formula (CNOH)3. Like many industrially useful chemicals, this triazine has many synonyms. This white, odorless solid finds use as a precursor or a component of bleaches, disinfectants, and herbicides. In 1997, worldwide production was 160 000 tonnes.Klaus Huthmacher, Dieter Most "Cyanuric Acid and Cyanuric Chloride" Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry" 2005, Wiley-VCH, Weinheim. doi 10.1002/14356007.a08 191 Properties and synthesis Properties Cyanuric acid can be viewed as the cyclic trimer of the elusive species cyanic acid, HOCN. The ring can readily interconvert between several structures via lactam-lactim tautomerism. Although the triol tautomer may have aromatic character, the keto form predominates in solution. The hydroxyl (-OH) groups assume phenolic character. Deprotonation with base affords a series of cyanurate salts: : (O)NHsub>3 ⇌ (O)NHsub>2 (O)Nsup>− + H+ (pKa = 6. ...

Copper(II) Cyanurate
Copper(II) cyanurate ( C3 H Cu N3 O3) is an organic compound. It has very few uses, and is more often encountered accidentally, rather than actually synthesised. It is often found when the copper concentration in an outdoor swimming pool is too high. It also occurs with heatpumps due to acid in the insulation, and it reacts with cyanuric acid (which is added as a chlorine stabilizer) to produce copper cyanurate. This phenomenon A phenomenon ( : phenomena) is an observable event. The term came into its modern philosophical usage through Immanuel Kant, who contrasted it with the noumenon, which ''cannot'' be directly observed. Kant was heavily influenced by Gottfried W ... is called 'Purple Cyanurate', as it discolours the surfaces and the water of the pool to a purple shade. Synthesis Copper cyanurate can be created by reacting cyanuric acid with copper oxide. CuO + 2C3H3N3O3 → C3HCuN3O3 + H2O. Joanneumite is a rare natural mineral found in bat guano with formula Cu(C3N ...
