Souq Waqif (Arabic: سوق واقف ''Sūq Wāqif'', "the standing market") is a marketplace ( souq) in Doha, in the state of Qatar. The souq sells traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. Sabah al-Din Abu Qaws ( ar, صباح الدين أبو قوس), also known as Sabah Fakhri ( ar, صباح فخري; May 2, 1933 – November 2, 2021), was a Syrian tenor singer from Aleppo. With over 50 years of fame and popularity as a singer, Sabah Fakhri modified and popularized the then-fading forms of traditional Arabic music Muwashahat and Qudud Halabiya. Majida El Roumi Baradhy ( ar, ماجدة الرومي برادعي; born 13 December 1956) is a Lebanese soprano singer and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. Early life Majida El Roumi Al Baradhy was born on 13 December 1956 in Kfarshima. He father, Halim El Roumi, was from a Melkite Christian family from Tyre, South Lebanon, and her mother was Egyptian.
