Robin Jackman
Robin David Jackman (13 August 1945 – 25 December 2020) was an English cricketer, who played in four Test matches and 15 One Day Internationals for the England cricket team between 1974 and 1983. He was a seam bowler and useful tail-end batsman. During a first-class career lasting from 1966 to 1982, he took 1,402 wickets. He was a member of the Surrey side that won the County Championship in 1971, and also played for Western Province in South Africa in 1971–72, and for Rhodesia between 1972–73 and 1979–80. Jackman was born at Basildon Hospital, where his father, a consultant radiologist and his mother, Susan, a radiology technician, worked and met. He was a boarder at The King's School, Canterbury. As a musician he appears under the name Jackman, both as a solo artist and with his own alternative rock trio. Mary Jackman (; 30 April 1943 – 30 May 2022) was an Irish Fine Gael politician. She was a senator from 1989 to 1992 and again from 1997 to 2002. Biography Jackman was from Castletroy in County Limerick. A teacher by profession, she spent her entire career at Presentation College, Limerick. A member of Limerick County Council for the Castleconnell local electoral area from 1985 to 2014, she was the first woman Cathaoirleach (chair) of Limerick County Council. Jackman has unsuccessfully contested four general elections in the Limerick East constituency (1989, 1992, 1997, and 2002), falling just 305 votes short of winning seat at the 1997 general election. David Jackman (minister)
David Jackman (born 10 July 1942) is a British evangelical speaker, and former president of The Proclamation Trust. He founded the Cornhill Training Course in 1991 and was previously Minister of Above Bar Church, Southampton from 1976 to 1991. Jackman attended Downing College, Cambridge, and completed his theological training at Trinity College, Bristol, where he studied under J. Alec Motyer and J. I. Packer. Jackman also served with the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF). In 1974 he wrote his first short book, ''Starting as a Student: A Christian Approach'', an 88-page pocketbook designed to prepare students for University or College life. He moved to Southampton in 1976 to work as assistant minister of Above Bar Church under Leith Samuel, becoming the Senior Minister in 1980.
