Article 299 of the Turkish Penal Code deems it illegal to "Insult the President of Turkey"''.'' Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu (born Kemal Karabulut, 17 December 1948) is a Turkish economist, retired civil servant and social democratic politician. He is leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP) and has been Leader of the Main Opposition in Turkey since 2010. Merve Büyüksaraç
Merve Büyüksaraç (born 13 June 1988) is a model, TV personality and beauty pageant titleholder who won the Miss Turkey 2006. She is also an industrial designer by profession, a fine-arts artist and an entrepreneur. In 2016, Büyüksaraç has been put in trial in Turkey on the charge of insulting the president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Biography Büyüksaraç was crowned Miss Turkey in 2006 and works as a model. Canan Kaftancıoğlu (born 3 February 1972) is a Turkish physician and politician. She is the president of the Republican People's Party's (CHP) in Istanbul.
