Horror Fiction
Horror is a genre of fiction which is intended to frighten, scare, or disgust. Horror is often divided into the sub-genres of psychological horror and supernatural horror, which is in the realm of speculative fiction. Literary historian J. A. Cuddon, in 1984, defined the horror story as "a piece of fiction in prose of variable length... which shocks, or even frightens the reader, or perhaps induces a feeling of repulsion or loathing". Horror intends to create an eerie and frightening atmosphere for the reader. Often the central menace of a work of horror fiction can be interpreted as a metaphor for larger fears of a society. ''The Last Vampire'' series consists of books written by Christopher Pike and chronicles the life of the 5,000-year-old "last vampire", The titles were originally released under "The Last Vampire" series name, but when recently published was changed simply to "Thirst". Several previously released books were compiled together to make up earlier volumes of the "Thirst" series. ''Megami Tensei'', marketed internationally as ''Shin Megami Tensei'' (formerly ''Revelations''), is a Japanese media franchise created by Aya Nishitani, Kouji "Cozy" Okada, Ginichiro Suzuki, and Kazunari Suzuki. Primarily developed and published by Atlus, and currently owned by Atlus (and Sega, after acquisition), the franchise consists of multiple subseries and covers multiple role-playing genres including tactical role-playing, action role-playing, and massively multiplayer online role-playing. Bandai Visual
was a Japanese anime, film production, and distribution enterprise, established by Bandai and a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings. They focused mainly in international distribution of anime properties in North America. Most of the anime and films that have been distributed and licensed by Bandai Visual have been released under the Emotion label. After the reorganization of Bandai Namco Holdings in 2006, Bandai Visual headed the group's Visual and Music Content Strategic Business Unit. Its subsidiaries included the Emotion Music Company, Ltd. is a Japanese horror anime and manga series created by Go Nagai. It is a sequel/ remake of '' Dororon Enma-kun''. The manga version of ''Demon Prince Enma'' would get a sequel called ''Satanikus Enma Kerberos'' by Eiji Karasuyama in 2007. Magic Bus (studio)
is a Japanese animation studio headquartered in Nishi-Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan. The company was founded in April 1972 by producer and director Satoshi Dezaki, and the studio's first work was ''Shin Kyojin no Hoshi'' in 1977. Demon Lord Dante
is a manga series written and illustrated by Go Nagai. The series tells the story of Ryo Utsugi, a student who finds himself in the body of an ancient demon known as Dante and sees himself in the middle of a conflict between God and the devils. Nagai's main influence to create the work was Gustave Doré's illustrations of Dante's ''Divine Comedy''. The series challenged the traditional view of God as good and Devil as bad and was created to provoke the critics of his previous works. During 1971, Nagai wrote the original ''Demon Lord Dante'' manga, which was published in Kodansha's ''Bokura Magazine''. The series ran from January to June, but it ended prematurely because of the magazine discontinuation. In 2002, the manga was officially revived by Nagai, and during the same year a 13-episode anime adaption was created and broadcast in Japan by AT-X. Demon City Shinjuku
is a novel by Hideyuki Kikuchi that was adapted into an original video animation (OVA) in 1988, directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri. The title has also been translated as ''Hell City Shinjuku'' and ''Monster City''. It was also released as two manga by ADV Manga in 2003 and 2004. The novel was also released in English in 2011 by Digital Manga Publishing, compiled with its sequel ''Demon Palace Babylon''. The film was released in North America by Central Park Media in 1994. is an adventure game, adventure, and dōjin soft video game series originally created by Makoto Kedōin and developed by Team GrisGris. is a Japanese dark fantasy manga series written by Etsuko Ikeda and illustrated by Yuuho Ashibe.
