Boogiepop Phantom
is an anime television series animated by Madhouse, based on the ''Boogiepop'' light novel series by Kouhei Kadono. The series is directed by Takashi Watanabe, from a screenplay by Sadayuki Murai, with original character designs by the light novel's illustrator Kouji Ogata, and sound direction by Yota Tsuruoka. Chronologically, the story follows immediately after the events of the series's first volume, ''Boogiepop and Others'', while also making references to the prequel sixth volume, '' Boogiepop at Dawn''.
