Cor Van Hout
Cornelis (Cor) van Hout (18 August 1957 – 24 January 2003) was a Dutch criminal and mastermind of the kidnapping of beer magnate Freddy Heineken. Life Kidnapping and imprisonment During the abduction, Van Hout collaborated with Willem Holleeder, Frans Meijer, Martin Erkamps and Jan Boellaard. The five men abducted Freddy Heineken and his driver Ab Doderer in front of Heineken's office on 9 November 1983, after which they imprisoned the two men for a period of three weeks in a Quonset hut in Westpoort, a part of Amsterdam, asking a ransom for Heineken of 35 million guilders. After the release of the hostages on 30 November, Van Hout and Holleeder managed to escape. They both fled to Paris. However, the two men were arrested by the French police on 29 February 1984. Joris Van Hout (born 10 January 1977) is a Belgian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Playing for Borussia Mönchengladbach van Hout scored 11 goals in 69 Bundesliga appearances. In summer 2005, he left Mönchengladbach for an undisclosed fee to join VfL Bochum on a three-year contract. Michael Hout (born May 14, 1950) is a Professor of Sociology at New York University. His contributions to sociology include using demographic methods to study social change in inequality, religion, and politics. His current work used the General Social Survey (GSS) to estimate the social standing of occupations introduced into the census classification since 1990. He digitized all occupational information in the GSS (1972–2014) and coded it all to the 2010 standard. Other recent projects used the GSS panel to study Americans' changing perceptions of class, religion, and happiness. Morgan Hout is an American football coach best known for his stint as head coach of Liberty University in the 1980s. A graduate of Tennessee Temple University, Hout has coached for over 35 years on the collegiate and prep levels. Coaching career Morgan Hout began his college coaching career working for three years as an unpaid assistant for head coach Jerry Claiborne at the University of Maryland, College Park. After a total of six years at Maryland, Hout spent several years as an assistant coach at University of Richmond. In 1984, he was offered the head coaching job at Liberty University. Léon Van Hout
Léon van Hout (28 November 1864, in Liège – 23 November 1945, in Brussels) was a Belgian violist and music educator. From 1888 to 1894 van Hout was the violist of the Ysaÿe Quartet along with cellist Joseph Jacob, and violinists Mathieu Crickboom and Eugène Ysaÿe. He was principal violist of the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie from 1889. Van Hout was professor of viola at Royal Conservatory of Brussels from 1893. He taught a generation of Belgian violists including Robert Courte, who succeeded him at the Conservatory, Charles Foidart, Lionel Blomme, and Gaston Jacobs. Van Hout inspired many Belgian composers to write works for the viola.
