Green-skinned Train
The terms green-skinned train and green train ( zh, s=绿皮车, p=lǜpíchē, l=green skin carriage) refer to a type of design which used to be the mainstay of the passenger railway fleets of China and other communist countries during the Cold War. These words carry connotations of slow travel on old vehicles with few amenities, most notably lacking air conditioning. Despite these connotations, some newer trains have been painted green for nostalgic purposes. CR200J
The CR200J Fuxing ( zh, s=复兴号, p=Fùxīng Hào "Rejuvenation") is a Chinese higher-speed trainset consisting of a power car paired with unpowered passenger cars operated by China Railway. It is the slowest member of the Fuxing series. The train was jointly designed and produced by six companies under CRRC. These units are nicknamed ''Green EMUs'' or ''Hulk'' by the Chinese media due to its appearance. Design and development The development of CR200J is initiated by China Railway Corporation to create an affordable, economical, efficient higher-speed rail. The development started on 28 August 2015. First prototype started testing on 27 April 2017. Vietnam Railways (VNR, ) is the state-owned operator of the railway system in Vietnam. The principal route is the single-track North–South Railway line, running between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. British Railways (BR), which from 1965 traded as British Rail, was a state-owned company that operated most of the overground rail transport in Great Britain from 1948 to 1997. Bilevel Rail Car
A bilevel car (American English) or double-decker coach (British English and Canadian English) is a type of rail car that has two levels of passenger accommodation, as opposed to one, increasing passenger capacity (in example cases of up to 57% per car). The use of double-decker carriages, where feasible, can resolve capacity problems on a railway, avoiding other options which have an associated infrastructure cost such as longer trains (which require longer station platforms), more trains per hour (which the signalling or safety requirements may not allow) or adding extra tracks besides the existing line.
