Enduro Race
An enduro race is an inexpensive type of automobile racing that takes place mostly on oval tracks. Enduro takes its name from "Endurance racing" since it consists of hundreds of laps around the oval. Vehicle It involves stock based cars that had their interior and side or rear windows removed but mostly stock mechanically. A driver is disqualified if the post-race inspection finds that their auto had major racing enhancements. Some enduros, often called 'jalopy enduros', feature cars rescued from a wrecking yard and repaired to barely running condition solely for the purpose of the race. Enduro is a form of motorcycle sport run on extended cross-country, off-road courses. Enduro consists of many different obstacles and challenges. A decrepit car is a car that is often old and damaged and is in a barely functional state. There are many slang terms used to describe such cars, the more popular including junk car, beater, clunker, hooptie, jalopy, shitbox, junker, and banger. Age, neglect, and damage tend to increase the expense of maintaining a vehicle. The vehicle may reach a point where this expense would be considered to outweigh the value of keeping it. Such vehicles are generally stripped for parts or abandoned. However, abandoning a vehicle on the road as a parked car is illegal in many jurisdictions and if a vehicle remains parked, the local authority commonly tows it to the scrapyard. Monadnock Speedway is a paved oval race track in Winchester, New Hampshire. Located south of Keene, the track is nestled between New Hampshire Route 10 and the Ashuelot River. The track hosts various races for regional touring series, including the Valenti Modified Racing Series, the Granite State Pro Stock Tour, the Northeastern Midget Association (NEMA) and NEMA Lites, and ISMA Supermodifieds. The ChampCar Endurance Series is a budget class endurance race held on paved road race courses across North America, formerly known as the ChumpCar World Series, run by ChumpCar International Inc. Impact Survival Series is an American stock car enduro series based in the Upper Midwest of the United States. The annual circuit typically includes stops at race tracks in Wisconsin and Michigan. The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is an American motorsports organization promoting road racing and high-performance driver education.
