Das Aktuelle Sportstudio
''Das aktuelle Sportstudio'' (stylized in lowercase) is a weekly sports TV show on German channel ZDF, broadcast late on Saturday evenings. The program is repeated later on 3sat. It was first broadcast on 24 August 1963. From 1999 to 2005, the program was called ''ZDF Sportstudio''. According to sources involved in the negotiations, ZDF paid €88–92 million for a package of Bundesliga TV-broadcasting rights for the four seasons from 2013/14 to 2016/17. History When ZDF started in 1963, it had a modest budget and it was decided to try to attract an audience using sports. This was the beginning of an unusually large sports editorial team of 42 employees, who actually succeeded in overcoming the ARD for a whole time with the visual participation. This project favored the recently introduced football league, which made football more attractive with its point system. To this end, a tailor-made program was created. Joan Haanappel
Joan Haanappel (born 13 November 1940) is a Dutch former figure skater and sports presenter for NOS, AVRO, ZDF and Eurosport. She is a three-time European bronze medalist (1958–1960) and a four-time Dutch national champion. Career Skating career Haanappel began skating in 1949 at Houtrust ice skating club in The Hague. Aged 12 years, she competed at her first major international competition, the European Championships in Dortmund, where she finished 14th. She won the first of her four Dutch national titles in 1955. She finished 13th at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. In 1958, Haanappel became the first Dutch figure skater to win a continental medal, finishing third behind Austria duo Ingrid Wendl and Hanna Walter at the 1958 European Championships in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. Werner Schneyder
Werner Schneyder (25 January 1937 – 2 March 2019) was an Austrian kabarett performer, journalist, writer, actor, stage director, television presenter and sports reporter. He performed political kabarett with Dieter Hildebrandt from 1974 to 1982, with an extra program presented in Leipzig, then in the GDR, in 1985. He moderated ''das aktuelle sportstudio'' on ZDF from 1975, and a series about boxing for RTL from 1992 to 1999. He described himself as a ''Universaldilettant'' (all-round amateur). Life and career Schneyder was born in Graz. His father came from Vienna, and his mother from Karlsbad. He grew up in Klagenfurt. Katrin Müller-Hohenstein (born 2 August 1965, in Erlangen) is a German television sport journalist. Life Since 2007 she worked for the Bayerischer Rundfunk. Norbert König (born 4 September 1958) is a German sports presenter. Career König finished his abitur at the Amandus-Abendroth-Gymnasium in Cuxhaven. Since 1987, König presents the ''ZDF-Sportreportage'' and in winter the Biathlon-live televisions and in summer the Athletics (sport), Athletics-live televisions in ZDF.
