A dry media reaction or solid-state reaction or solventless reaction is a chemical reaction system in the absence of a solvent. The Wittig reaction or Wittig olefination is a chemical reaction of an aldehyde or ketone with a triphenyl phosphonium ylide called a Wittig reagent.
