Cégep De Chicoutimi
The Cégep de Chicoutimi is a post-secondary institution in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is located in the Chicoutimi borough of the City of Saguenay. It is one of four CEGEPs in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. The Cégep de Chicoutimi has approximately 3,000 students and 600 employees. In addition to providing educational training, it also serves as a social and cultural complex with community services such as a physical training centre. Parent Commission
The Royal Commission of Inquiry on Education in the Province of Quebec, better known as the Parent Commission, was a commission established in 1961 by the newly elected Lesage government to investigate the education system in Quebec up until the 1960s. It was chaired by Mgr Alphonse-Marie Parent, and consisted of 8 members. Cégep Édouard-Montpetit is a public Francophone college in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. Approximately 7,300 (fall 2016) students (as much in the Continuing Education programs) are enrolled in the 2 campuses, the main one located in Longueuil and the École nationale d'aérotechnique in St-Hubert campuses. Collège Lionel-Groulx is a general and vocational college (CEGEP) located in Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada. The college has about 5,200 full-time students and 2,000 continuing education students. History The college traces its origins to the merger of several institutions which became public ones in 1967, when the Quebec system of CEGEPs was created. The college was established September 14, 1967 and named in honour of the Quebec historian Lionel Groulx, a former student of the Seminary of St. Therese. Schools include the St. Rose Business School, the Normal School of St. Jerome and the Seminary of St. Therese.
