A bishop is an ordained clergy member who is entrusted with a position of authority and oversight in a religious institution. In Christianity, bishops are normally responsible for the governance of dioceses. The role or office of bishop is called episcopacy. Luis Julian de Milà y de Borja (1432 Xàtiva, Kingdom of Valencia, Crown of Aragon – 1510 Bèlgida, Kingdom of Valencia, Crown of Aragon) was a cardinal of the Catholic Church. Juan Enguera
Juan Enguera (died 1513) was the Grand Inquisitor of the Crown of Aragon from 1507 to 1513. Biography Juan Enguera was born in Valencia in the fifteenth century. A member of the Dominican Order, Enguera rose to become a confessor of Ferdinand II of Aragon. Enguera was appointed Bishop of Vic on 19 December 1505. He was later appointed Bishop of Lleida on 9 December 1510, ''(in Latin)'' and then Bishop of Tortosa on 1 October 1512. In addition to his duties as a bishop, he was the Grand Inquisitor of the Crown of Aragon from 1507 to 1513. Enguera died in Valladolid on 14 February 1513. Antonio Agustín y Albanell (1516–1586), also referred to as Augustinus, was a Spanish Humanist historian, jurist, and Roman Catholic archbishop of Tarragona, who pioneered the historical research of the sources of canon law. Life Born in Zaragoza, Agustín studied law and classical literature in Alcalá, Salamanca, Padua and Bologna, notably as a pupil of Andrea Alciati. With his nomination as an auditor of the Sacra Rota Romana in 1544, Agustín started his ecclesiastical career, which saw him become a papal nuncio in 1554/55.
