''Amotion'' (stylized as ''aMOTION'') is a DVD– CD set released by American rock band A Perfect Circle on November 16, 2004, only two weeks after the debut of the band's third album, '' eMOTIVe''. The DVD consists of music videos for singles such as " Judith", "3 Libras" and "Weak and Powerless" as well as previously unreleased videos for singles such as "Blue" and "Thinking of You". The CD is composed entirely of remixes of the singles from ''Mer de Noms'' and ''Thirteenth Step''. The songs were retooled by Danny Lohner, Joshua Eustis, Massive Attack, and James Iha among others. Danny Lohner
Daniel Patrick “Danny” Lohner, frequently known as Renholdër, is an American musician. He worked with Trent Reznor on numerous occasions, both with Nine Inch Nails and on the now defunct Tapeworm project. He has also played for Methods of Mayhem, and in the past was one of the founding members of industrial-thrash outlet Skrew, as well as one of the members of the Texas thrash metal band Angkor Wat. Career Nine Inch Nails In 1994, Trent Reznor brought Lohner into Nine Inch Nails to play guitar, bass, and keyboards for the band live. Lohner stayed on with the band throughout the touring cycle to ''The Downward Spiral'', both the recording and touring behind ''The Fragile'', the live album/DVD '' And All That Could Have Been'', and the recording of the ''Still'' EP. James Iha
(born March 26, 1968) is an American rock musician. He is best known as a guitarist and co-founder of the alternative rock band the Smashing Pumpkins. He was a member until the initial breakup in 2000. Among his musical projects of recent years, Iha has been a permanent fixture of A Perfect Circle. He was most recently a member of Tinted Windows, a 1960s/1970s inspired group with members of Cheap Trick, Fountains of Wayne, and Hanson. He rejoined the Smashing Pumpkins in 2018. Iha has produced songs, contributed guitar and vocals, and produced remixes for a number of artists, including Midnight Movies, Isobel Campbell, Marilyn Manson, Whiskeytown, and Michael Stipe. He co-owned Scratchie Records, an independent record label, with Adam Schlesinger, and from 1999-2012 owned a recording studio with Schlesinger and Andy Chase of Ivy called Stratosphere Sound. A Perfect Circle
A Perfect Circle is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan. A Perfect Circle has released four studio albums, the first three during the early 2000s: ''Mer de Noms'', their debut album in 2000, and followed up by ''Thirteenth Step'' in 2003; then in 2004, '' Emotive''—an album of radically re-worked cover songs. ''Thirteenth Step'' is the second studio album by American rock band A Perfect Circle, released on September 16, 2003. The album sold well, charting at the number 2 position on the ''Billboard'' 200 in its premiere week, selling over 231,000 copies and staying on the charts for 78 weeks. The album went on to be certified as gold on November 4, 2003 and as platinum on March 24, 2006 by the RIAA. Douglas Glenn Colvin (September 18, 1951 – June 5, 2002), better known by his stage name Dee Dee Ramone, was an American musician. He was the bassist and a founding member of the punk rock band Ramones. "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums" is a promotional single by the American rock band A Perfect Circle, off of their third studio album '' Emotive''. While the album primarily consists of cover songs, the track, along with the lead single "Passive", were the only two original recordings. Containing many lyrical similarities with the track "Pet", from the previous album, ''Thirteenth Step'', lead singer and lyricist Maynard James Keenan described the track as a continuation of the song. "The Outsider" is a song from A Perfect Circle's second album, ''Thirteenth Step''. It was the album's second single, following "Weak and Powerless", and charted on the ''Billboard's'' Hot 100, Mainstream Rock, and Modern Rock charts in 2003. Background It uses a 6/8 and 4/4 time signature. Two remixes of "The Outsider" were made for ''aMOTION''.
