''Allods Online'' is a free-to-play 3D fantasy MMORPG developed by Allods Team, formerly Astrum Nival, and published by Mail.Ru Group globally, with the international version operated by their subsidiary My.com. The game was originally released in North America on May 11, 2011. Following on from ''Rage of Mages'', '' Rage of Mages II: Necromancer'', '' Evil Islands: Curse of the Lost Soul'', and '' Evil Islands: Lost in Astral'', ''Allods Online'' takes the RPG elements of the original games and presents them in an MMORPG. Allods Team is a Russian video game developer and a subsidiary of Mail.Ru Games. Founded in September 2006, it was previously known as Nival Online and Astrum Nival. On February 24, 2010, Mail.Ru announced the 100% acquisition of Astrum Nival from its former owners. From that point, Astrum Nival acts under the name of Mail.Ru. ''Rage of Mages'' is a PC game that combines role-playing and real-time strategy. Produced by Nival Interactive it was first released in Russia under the name of ''Allods: The Seal of Mystery'' (''Аллоды. Печать тайны''). The game was published in April 1998 in the EU by Buka Entertainment and on October 13, 1998 in the US. It was re-released in 2016 on GOG.com. A sequel was later made in 1999 by Nival Interactive called ''Allods 2: Master of Souls'' (Аллоды 2. Повелитель душ) and published in the west by Monolith Productions entitled '' Rage of Mages II: Necromancer''. An online MMORPG based on the game was released under the name ''Allods Online''. Mark Morgan (born October 22, 1961) is an American musician and score composer for video games, television and films. He is known for his work in ''Fallout'', ''Fallout 2'', and '' Planescape: Torment'', and for being a former member of Starship. He was born in Los Angeles, California, to an architect, Melford Morgan and Betty Morgan, a classically trained pianist. It was while living with his parents that he became interested in music, and started to learn to play the piano. Upon graduating from high school, he moved to Boston, where he enrolled in the Berklee College of Music, where he studied piano and composition, and where he learned about electronic music.
