Rage Of Mages
''Rage of Mages'' is a PC game that combines role-playing and real-time strategy. Produced by Nival Interactive it was first released in Russia under the name of ''Allods: The Seal of Mystery'' (''Аллоды. Печать тайны''). The game was published in April 1998 in the EU by Buka Entertainment and on October 13, 1998 in the US. It was re-released in 2016 on GOG.com. A sequel was later made in 1999 by Nival Interactive called ''Allods 2: Master of Souls'' (Аллоды 2. Повелитель душ) and published in the west by Monolith Productions entitled '' Rage of Mages II: Necromancer''. An online MMORPG based on the game was released under the name ''Allods Online''. It was published in Russia by Astrum Nival in late 2009, followed by other regions globally by local publishers. Nival is a Russian video game developer and publisher founded by Sergey Orlovskiy in 1996. It is headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, with development offices in St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia. History The company was founded by Sergey Orlovskiy on November 18, 1996 as Nival Interactive, and became famous as the developer of several successful role-playing and strategy series, including ''Rage of Mages'' (known as ''Allods'' in Russia), ''Blitzkrieg'', and '' Etherlords'', all of which would receive sequels. ''Computer Gaming World'' (CGW) was an American computer game magazine published between 1981 and 2006. One of the few magazines of the era to survive the video game crash of 1983, it was sold to Ziff Davis in 1993. It expanded greatly through the 1990s and became one of the largest dedicated video game magazines, reaching around 500 pages by 1997. ''Battlezone'' is a first-person shooter real-time strategy video game, developed and published by Activision. It was released for Microsoft Windows in 1998.
