It was released on November 11, 2016, by NON Worldwide and Hospital Productions. Background and recording In 2013, Warmsley, then known as Lee Bannon and for his production work with Pro Era, began to explore a more experimental sound as a solo artist. In June 2013, he self-released ''NW/WB'', which showcased strong jungle and drum and bass influences and garnered a significant amount of attention. The project drew the interest of record labels including Warp Records, Sacred Bones Records and Ninja Tune, which signed Warmsley in October 2013. His debut studio album, entitled ''Alternate/Endings'', was released on January 9, 2014, to critical accl ...

Successor Cardinal
In set theory, one can define a successor operation on cardinal numbers in a similar way to the successor operation on the ordinal numbers. The cardinal successor coincides with the ordinal successor for finite cardinals, but in the infinite case they diverge because every infinite ordinal and its successor have the same cardinality (a bijection can be set up between the two by simply sending the last element of the successor to 0, 0 to 1, etc., and fixing ω and all the elements above; in the style of Hilbert's Hotel Infinity). Using the von Neumann cardinal assignment and the axiom of choice (AC), this successor operation is easy to define: for a cardinal number ''κ'' we have :\kappa^+ = \left, \inf \\ , where ON is the class of ordinals. That is, the successor cardinal is the cardinality of the least ordinal into which a set of the given cardinality can be mapped one-to-one, but which cannot be mapped one-to-one back into that set. That the set above is nonempty follows from ...

Successor Ordinal
In set theory, the successor of an ordinal number ''α'' is the smallest ordinal number greater than ''α''. An ordinal number that is a successor is called a successor ordinal. Properties Every ordinal other than 0 is either a successor ordinal or a limit ordinal.. In Von Neumann's model Using von Neumann's ordinal numbers (the standard model of the ordinals used in set theory), the successor ''S''(''α'') of an ordinal number ''α'' is given by the formula :S(\alpha) = \alpha \cup \. Since the ordering on the ordinal numbers is given by ''α'' < ''β'' if and only if ''α'' ∈ ''β'', it is immediate that there is no ordinal number between α and ''S''(''α''), and it is also clear that ''α'' < ''S''(''α'').

Successor Function
In mathematics, the successor function or successor operation sends a natural number to the next one. The successor function is denoted by ''S'', so ''S''(''n'') = ''n'' +1. For example, ''S''(1) = 2 and ''S''(2) = 3. The successor function is one of the basic components used to build a primitive recursive function. Successor operations are also known as zeration in the context of a zeroth hyperoperation: H0(''a'', ''b'') = 1 + ''b''. In this context, the extension of zeration is addition, which is defined as repeated succession. Overview The successor function is part of the formal language used to state the Peano axioms, which formalise the structure of the natural numbers. In this formalisation, the successor function is a primitive operation on the natural numbers, in terms of which the standard natural numbers and addition is defined. For example, 1 is defined to be ''S''(0), and addition on natural numbers is defined recursively by: : This can be used ...

The Successor (Kadare)
''The Successor'' ( sq, Pasardhësi) is a 2003 novel by the Albanian writer and inaugural International Man Booker Prize winner Ismail Kadare. It is the second part of a diptych of which the first part is the novella ''Agamemnon's Daughter''. The diptych is ranked by many critics among the author's greatest works. Background ''Agamemnon's Daughter'', the prequel to ''The Successor'', was written in 1985 and smuggled out of Albania before the collapse of the Hoxhaist regime, but it was published almost two decades later, after Kadare had already composed ''The Successor'' as its companion-piece. As opposed to the more personal ''Agamemnon's Daughter'', ''The Successor'' is much more grounded in actual history, presenting a fictional account of the events that may have led to the still-unexplained 1981 death of Mehmet Shehu, Albania's long-time Prime Minister during the Cold War and Enver Hoxha's most trusted ally and designated number two ever since the death of Stalin and the ...

The Diadochi (; singular: Diadochus; from grc-gre, Διάδοχοι, Diádochoi, Successors, ) were the rival generals, families, and friends of Alexander the Great who fought for control over his empire after his death in 323 BC. The Wars of the Diadochi mark the beginning of the Hellenistic period from the Mediterranean Sea to the Indus River Valley. The most notable Diadochi include Ptolemy, Antigonus, Cassander, and Seleucus as the last remaining at the end of the Wars of the Successors, ruling in Egypt, Asia-Minor, Macedon and Persia respectively, all forging dynasties lasting several centuries. Background Ancient role In ancient Greek, is a noun (substantive or adjective) formed from the verb, ''diadechesthai'', "succeed to," a compound of ''dia-'' and ''dechesthai'', "receive." The word-set descends straightforwardly from Indo-European *dek-, "receive", the substantive forms being from the o-grade, *dok-. Some important English reflexes are dogma, "a receiv ...
