Wild World (song)
"Wild World" is a song written and recorded by English singer-songwriter Cat Stevens. It first appeared on his fourth album, ''Tea for the Tillerman'', recorded and released in 1970. Song meaning Stevens developed a relationship with actress Patti D'Arbanville and the two were a pair throughout a period of roughly two years. During that time, he wrote several songs about her, including "Wild World". The song is in the form of the singer's words to his departing lover, inspired by the end of their romance. Stevens later recalled to ''Mojo'': "It was one of those chord sequences that's very common in Spanish music. I turned it around and came up with that theme—which is a recurring theme in my work—which is to do with leaving, the sadness of leaving, and the anticipation of what lies beyond." ''Wild World'' (stylised as "WILD WORLD") is the second studio album by English indie pop band Bastille, released on 9 September 2016 by Virgin EMI Records. The album was co-produced by Mark Crew. The lead single, " Good Grief", was released on 16 June 2016. The song "Send Them Off!" is featured on the soundtrack of the game ''FIFA 17''. The cover photograph was taken at 30 Park Place in Downtown, New York City. Critical reception ''Wild World'' received generally positive reviews, with Caroline Sullivan of ''The Guardian'' giving the album four out of five stars. On Metacritic, the album received a score of 73 out of 100, based on ten critics—which Metacritic classes as "generally favorable". ''Wild World'' is the fourth studio album by American country music singer Kip Moore. It was released on May 29, 2020 by Universal Music Group Nashville. The album includes the single " She’s Mine". A deluxe edition containing four extra songs was released on February 12, 2021. Content The album contains thirteen tracks, of which Moore co-wrote all but one. Among his contributions to the album is the lead single "She's Mine". Moore co-produced the album with David Garcia, Luke Dick, and Blair Daly, all of whom also wrote some of the songs on it. Other contributing writers include touring band members Erich Wigdahl, Manny Medina, Dave Nassie, and Adam Browder, who helped him write "South" during a sound check. Moore also said that "Payin' Hard" was inspired by the death of his father, which occurred right before the release of his debut album.
