Varga () is a village () in Hegyhát District, northern Baranya county, in the Southern Transdanubia region of Hungary. Its population at the 2011 census was 101. Known for the leather factory that was owned by the family of the same name. Geography The village is located at 46° 14′ 52.79″ N, 18° 8′ 33,32″ E. Its area is . It is part of the Southern Transdanubia statistical region, and administratively it falls under Baranya County and then Hegyhát District. It lies east of the town of Sásd. The term Varga (Sanskrit ', 'set, division') in Indian astrology (Jyotisha) refers to the division of a zodiacal sign (''rāśi'') into parts. Varga is a Canadian metal band that was formed in 1985. "Freeze Don't Move" and "Greed", from their ''Prototype'' album, were minor hits on MuchMusic throughout 1993. Dan Fila and Sean Williamson were later members of Hypodust, an industrial metal band hailing from Hamilton, Ontario. In 2012 Varga reformed, going back to their progressive metal roots, and released two new full-length albums, Enter The Metal (2013) and Return of the Metal (2014). History 1985-1992 Varga was formed in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1985. Varga is a Filipino comics superhero created by Mars Ravelo. He wrote and illustrated Varga for Bulaklak Magazine, appearing first in the magazine's No. 17, Vol. 4 (July 23, 1947) issue. A falling out with some of the magazine's editors caused Ravelo to resign from Bulaklak and transfer to Pilipino Komiks (Ace Publications), where he re-launched his superhero. Ravelo renamed her Darna, an anagram of the superhero's mortal alter-ego name Narda. Joaquin Alberto Vargas y Chávez (9 February 1896 – 30 December 1982) was a Peruvian-American painter of pin-up girls. He is often considered one of the most famous of the pin-up artists. Numerous Vargas paintings have sold and continue to sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Life and career Born in Arequipa, Peru, he was the son of noted Peruvian photographer Max T. Vargas. Alberto Vargas moved to the United States in 1916 after studying art in Europe, particularly in Zurich and Geneva, prior to World War I. While he was in Europe he came upon the French magazine '' La Vie Parisienne,'' with a cover by Raphael Kirchner, which he said was a great influence on his work. His early career in New York included work as an artist for the Ziegfeld Follies and for many Hollywood studios.
