Trouble In Mind (song)
"Trouble in Mind" is a vaudeville blues-style song written by jazz pianist Richard M. Jones. Singer Thelma La Vizzo with Jones on piano first recorded it in 1924 and in 1926, Bertha "Chippie" Hill popularized the tune with her recording with Jones and trumpeter Louis Armstrong. The song became an early blues standard, with numerous renditions by a variety of musicians in a variety of styles. Lyrics and composition "Trouble in Mind" has been called "one of the enduring anthems of the blues as hope for the future even in the darkest of times". In many versions, new lyrics are added. However, most usually include the well-known verse: The song has roots that pre-date blues. Two spiritual songs from the 1800s have been identified as antecedents: "I'm a-Trouble in De Mind", published in the ''Slave Songs of the United States'' (1867); and "I'm Troubled in Mind", cited in ''The Story of the isk UniversityJubilee Singers and Their Songs'' (1880). Other folk song collections fro ...

Trouble In Mind (Big Bill Broonzy Album)
''Trouble in Mind'' is an album by American blues musician Big Bill Broonzy. It was released on February 22, 2000 by Smithsonian Folkways. The album consists of traditional folk, blues, and spiritual songs featuring Broonzy accompanying himself on acoustic guitar and a guest appearance by Pete Seeger. Suffering from cancer, Broonzy realized his time was limited and hence recorded extensively between 1956 and 1957. While most of the work draws from the album ''Big Bill Broonzy Sings Country Blues'' (1957), arranged by Moses Asch and Charles Edward Smith, ''Trouble in Mind'' is also sourced from concert broadcasts and interviews recorded late in Broonzy's career. Like other albums issued by Smithsonian Folkways, ''Trouble in Mind'' has been kept in print; the production quality of the album is higher than most installments of the label's catalogue. An accompanying booklet, arranged by Jeff Place and Anthony Seeger, includes photos and notes documenting Broonzy's stint with Folkw ...

Trouble In Mind (EP)
''Trouble in Mind'' is an extended play album by American country artist Lee Ann Womack. The album was released on April 18, 2015, via Sugar Hill Records (bluegrass label) and was produced by Frank Liddell. It was released exclusively as a limited edition vinyl record and contained three new tracks. ''Trouble in Mind'' was made to be unlike Womack's previous releases because it featured limited musical production. The record only included Womack's voice and a guitarist as the primary instruments. Background and content Womack and her spouse/producer Frank Liddell discussed the intention to record an album with limited background production. The pair decided on choosing "handpicked compositions" and one musician for the album. American guitarist Richard Bennett was chosen as the record's session player. Bennett used "vintage" guitars for the recording process. The album was recorded in Liddell and Womack's personal studio. Hannahlee Allers of ''The Boot'' music blog called the alb ...

Lee Ann Womack
Lee Ann Womack Liddell (; born August 19, 1966) is an American country music singer, songwriter, and musician. Her 2000 single, "I Hope You Dance" was a major crossover music hit, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Country Chart and the Top 15 of the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, becoming her signature song. When Womack emerged as a contemporary country artist in 1997, her material resembled that of Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette, except for the way Womack's music mixed an old-fashioned style with contemporary elements. Her 2000 album ''I Hope You Dance'' had an entirely different sound, using pop music elements instead of traditional country. It was not until the release of ''There's More Where That Came From'' in 2005 that Womack returned to recording traditional country music. After a hiatus in 2008, Womack returned in 2014 with a new album ('' The Way I'm Livin''') and a new sound which blended country and Americana. Womack has released a total of nine studio albums and two compi ...

Bob Dylan
Bob Dylan (legally Robert Dylan, born Robert Allen Zimmerman, May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter. Often regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Dylan has been a major figure in popular culture during a career spanning more than 60 years. Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s, when songs such as "Blowin' in the Wind" (1963) and " The Times They Are a-Changin' (1964) became anthems for the civil rights and antiwar movements. His lyrics during this period incorporated a range of political, social, philosophical, and literary influences, defying pop music conventions and appealing to the burgeoning counterculture. Following his self-titled debut album in 1962, which comprised mainly traditional folk songs, Dylan made his breakthrough as a songwriter with the release of ''The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan'' the following year. The album features "Blowin' in the Wind" and the thematically complex " A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall". Many of his s ...
