Luigi Zampa
Luigi Zampa (2 January 1905 – 16 August 1991) was an Italian film director. Biography Son of a worker, Zampa studied filmmaking from 1932 to 1937 at the Italian film school Centro sperimentale di cinematografia in Rome. He directed several Italian neorealism films in the 1940s. In 1949 he filmed ''Alarm Bells'' on Ischia, and also shot a separate British version under the title '' Children of Chance''. During the 1950s and 1960s, he became a director of several successful films belonging to the Commedia all'italiana genre, some starring Alberto Sordi. Gino Pernice (6 May 1927 – 25 April 1997) was an Italian stage, television and film actor. Life and career Born in Milan, Pernice trained at the Accademia dei Filodrammatici graduating in 1952, and made his professional debut with the stage company of Fantasio Piccoli at the Teatro Stabile of Bolzano. His breakthrough role was Tobia in a staging of ''Twelfth Night'' held by the De Lullo- Falk- Guarnieri-Valli's "Compagnia dei Giovani". Fausto Tommei (29 July 1909 – 23 July 1978) was an Italian actor, voice actor and presenter. Life and career Born in Venice, Tommei began his stage career immediately after graduating in Law. He became first known as a radio personality, working as an actor, comedian and presenter for EIAR and for some local radio stations in Milan. In 1940 Tommei started appearing in films, usually cast in character roles. In 1941 he got critical acclaim for his performance on stage in ''Poeta fantastico'', directed by Orazio Costa. After the war he focused his activities on revues, returning to dramatic roles in the mid-1950s. In 1956 he presented the Sanremo Music Festival. Between 1956 and 1958 he directed the Teatro delle Maschere in Milan. He was also active as a dubber. A deeply religious man, Tommei was a Franciscan tertiary. Ernesto Colli (16 May 1940 – 19 November 1982) was an Italian film, television and stage actor. Life and career Born in Biella, Colli graduated from liceo classico, then he started acting in some amateur dramatics and starred in two lost Super 8 films. After one year of university he decided to abandon his studies to enroll the Fersen drama school in Rome. A real life friend of Vittorio Gassman, Colli often acted alongside him, especially on stage, and he made his film debut playing a small role in the Gassman's film '' The Devil in Love''.
