The Sealed Card
is a 2000 Japanese anime film directed by Morio Asaka and written by Nanase Ōkawa, with animation produced by Madhouse. The film is a sequel and finale to the anime television series adaptation of Clamp's ''Cardcaptor Sakura'', and is the second feature-length film based on the series. The film follows Sakura Kinomoto as she faces the final Clow Card alongside her friends and allies, and comes to terms with her romantic feelings for Syaoran Li. The film won the Feature Film Award at the 2000 Animation Kobe. It was released on DVD in 2003. It received a limited theatrical release for the first time in the US on January 31, 2018. Morio Asaka
is a Japanese storyboard artist and director. After graduating Osaka Designers' College, Asaka entered Madhouse. He was inspired to become a director by '' Phoenix: Yamato Chapter'' and made his debut as an episode director in episode 40 of ''Yawara!''. He made his chief directorial debut with the 1993 OVA ''POPS''. His noted works include, among others, ''Cardcaptor Sakura'' (his directorial anime television series debut), ''Chobits'', ''Gunslinger Girl'', ''Nana'', ''Chihayafuru'', and ''My Love Story!!''. Syaoran Li
Syaoran Li, sometimes spelled as Shaoran Li or originally as Xiaolang Li (李小狼 ''Lǐ Xiǎoláng''; リ・シャオラン ''Ri Shaoran'', or ''Ri Syaoran'' ( Kunrei); Cantonese Jyutping: ''lei5 siu2 long4''), is one of the central characters in the Clamp manga ''Cardcaptor Sakura'' and its sequel '' Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card''.
