The missing years in the Hebrew calendar refer to a chronological discrepancy between the rabbinic dating for the destruction of the First Temple in 422 BCE (3338 Anno Mundi) and the academic dating of it in 587 BCE. Dating in academic sources The academic datings in question are confirmed by a variety of Persian, Babylonian and Greek sources, which include records of datable astronomical observations such as eclipses. The unknown years of Jesus (also called his silent years, lost years, or missing years) generally refers to the period of Jesus's life between his childhood and the beginning of Ministry of Jesus, his ministry, a period not described in the New Testament. The "lost years of Jesus" concept is usually encountered in esoteric literature (where it at times also refers to his possible post-crucifixion activities) but is not commonly used in scholarly literature since it is assumed that Jesus was probably working as a carpenter in Galilee, at least some of the time with Saint Joseph, Joseph, from the age of 12 to 29. ''Missing Years'' is the fifth studio album by the American country music band Little Texas. Released in 2007 on Montage Music Group, it is the band's first studio album for that label, and its first new studio album since 1997's '' Little Texas''. It is also the first studio album not to feature former co-lead vocalists Brady Seals and Tim Rushlow. Here, lead guitarist Porter Howell serves as lead vocalist, and the other three remaining members (drummer Del Gray, rhythm guitarist Dwayne O'Brien, and bass guitarist Duane Propes) are retained. Overall, this album produced three singles in "Your Woman", the title track, and "Party Life". ''The Missing Years'' is the 10th studio album by American folk musician John Prine, released in 1991 on Oh Boy Records. It won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album. In July 2003 the label released a deluxe vinyl reissue of the album with a bonus track calledThe Third of July from Prine's appearance on the PBS concert series Sessions at West 54th in 2001. Recording ''The Missing Years'' was Prine's first studio release since his 1986 album ''German Afternoons'' and is regarded as his comeback album. Steven Stayner
Steven Gregory Stayner (April 18, 1965September 16, 1989) was an American kidnapping victim. On December 4, 1972, seven-year-old Stayner was abducted in Merced, California, by child molester Kenneth Parnell. He was held by his abductor away in Mariposa County, California, and later in Mendocino County, California, until he was aged 14, when he managed to escape with another of Parnell's victims, Timothy White. Years of potential life lost (YPLL) or potential years of life lost (PYLL), is an estimate of the average years a person would have lived if they had not died prematurely. It is, therefore, a measure of premature mortality. As an alternative to death rates, it is a method that gives more weight to deaths that occur among younger people. An alternative is to consider the effects of both disability and premature death using disability adjusted life years. Calculation To calculate the years of potential life lost, the analyst has to set an upper reference age. The reference age should correspond roughly to the life expectancy of the population under study. In the developed world, this is commonly set at age 75, but it is essentially arbitrary.
