The Lost Tapes (Can Album)
''The Lost Tapes'' is a compilation album of studio outtakes and live recordings by the German experimental rock band Can, which was originally released as an LP in 2012 by Spoon Records in conjunction with Mute Records. (producer), L.E.S., The Alchemist (musician), The Alchemist, Trackmasters, Poke and Tone, and D-Dot, Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie, among others. With low-key, sparse sounds and observational lyrics about urban life, the songs are largely autobiographical and nostalgic, departing from the thug rap, thug persona of Nas' previous records. Released with little promotion, ''The Lost Tapes'' debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200, selling over 70,000 copies in its first week. It received widespread accl ...
