Enforcer is the name of two fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history The first Enforcer first appeared in ''Ghost Rider'' #22-24 (February–June 1977), and was created by Gerry Conway, Don Glut, and Don Heck. The character subsequently appeared in ''Spider-Woman'' #19 (October 1979), #27-29 (June–August 1980), ''Ghost Rider'' #58 (July 1981), and ''Spider-Woman'' #50 (June 1983). Enforcer (battering Ram)
Enforcer (also known informally as a “Rammit”, "the Sam", "Donker", "Sam", "Bosher", and "the big red key") is the term given to a specially designed manual battering ram manufactured by Sigma Security Devices Ltd and currently used by British Police forces, fire services and other agencies to aid in gaining entry to premises in confined spaces. Construction The Enforcer is a 16kg hardened steel construction with a steel pad at the impact end so that it can absorb the impact, and a handle at the opposite end angled so that the user can swing accurately at inward-opening doors without actually applying their own pressure more than necessary. Further, there is a handle in the middle of the tube aiding the user in handling. The Enforcer can apply more than three tonnes of impact force to door locks. It is 58 cm long. Maurice Lucas
Maurice Lucas (February 18, 1952 – October 31, 2010) was an American professional basketball player who played in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was a four-time NBA All-Star and won an NBA championship with the Portland Trail Blazers in 1977. He was named to the ABA All-Time Team. Lucas played college basketball for the Marquette Golden Eagles. He began his pro career with two years in the ABA with the Spirits of St. Louis and Kentucky Colonels. He then played twelve seasons in the NBA with the Trail Blazers, New Jersey Nets, New York Knickerbockers, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers and Seattle SuperSonics. Arn Anderson
Martin Anthony Lunde (born September 20, 1958), better known by the ring name Arn Anderson, is an American professional wrestling road agent, author, and retired professional wrestler. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as a manager. Although he is widely regarded as one of the finest tag team wrestlers in history, he also had a successful singles career and became a four-time NWA/WCW World Television Champion, which he often called his "world title". Piper PA-48 Enforcer
The Piper PA-48 Enforcer is an American turboprop-powered light close air support aircraft built by Piper Aircraft, Piper in the 1970s. It is a development of the World War II-era North American P-51 Mustang fighter. The Enforcer concept was originally created and flown as the Cavalier Mustang by David Lindsay, owner of Cavalier Aircraft, in response to the United States Air Force PAVE, PAVE COIN program, but Cavalier did not have the manufacturing abilities to mass-produce the Enforcer, so the program was sold to Piper by Lindsay in 1970. The MD Helicopters MD Explorer is a light twin-engined utility helicopter designed and initially produced by the American rotorcraft specialist McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems. On 18 December 1992, the maiden flight was conducted, initial certification for the type followed roughly two years later. The initial model, the MD 900, was joined by an improved successor, the MD 902, during the late 1990s. The Explorer is currently produced by MD Helicopters. The Enforcer is a ship design created by Royal Schelde (now Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding) following the design and building of HNLMS ''Rotterdam''. HNLMS ''Rotterdam'' was jointly developed by the Royal Netherlands Navy and the Spanish Navy. Development began in the 1980s, when the Royal Netherlands Navy began investigating ways to provide an amphibious transport capability. In 1994, preliminary design work began. The Spanish government proposed in 1990 to collaborate on the design. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in June 1992. Development of the base design occurred during 1993, after which the navies turned to local companies for further design work and construction: Royal Schelde in the Netherlands, and Bazán (which became Navantia in 2005) in Spain. The Enforcers (professional Wrestling)
The Enforcers were a professional wrestling tag team consisting of Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko who worked for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1991 and 1992. Together they held the WCW World Tag Team Championship and were voted the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Tag Team of the Year in 1991. History The Enforcers (named for Anderson's ''nom du guerre'' in The Four Horsemen) were formed when Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko started teaming in the summer of 1991 in WCW. Enforcer (ice Hockey)
Enforcer is an unofficial role in ice hockey. The term is sometimes used synonymously with "fighter", "tough guy", or "goon". An enforcer's job is to deter and respond to dirty or violent play by the opposition. When such play occurs, the enforcer is expected to respond aggressively, by fighting or checking the offender. Enforcers are expected to react particularly harshly to violence against star players or goalies. Enforcers are different from pests, players who seek to agitate opponents and distract them from the game, without necessarily fighting them.
