''Run for Your Life'' is the second full-length album by Burlington, Ontario's The Creepshow released by Stomp Records. The album was released on August 22, 2008 in Compact Disc format and as a translucent green vinyl LP. The band's previous album Sell Your Soul was released by ''Stereo Dynamite Records''. It was reissued in North America on October 5, 2009 on Hellcat Records upon the band's signing to the label. The album features ten tracks, nine of which are original songs. The first track, "The Sermon II", is a spoken word introduction by organ player The Reverend McGinty in a Vincent Price-inspired voice. "The Sermon" was the first track of the band's previous album. Run For Your Life (Bucks Fizz Song)
"Run for Your Life" is a 1983 single by UK pop group Bucks Fizz. It was written by Andy Hill and Ian Bairnson and became the group's eighth consecutive top 20 hit in the UK. It featured on the group's third album ''Hand Cut''. Overview Song information "Run for Your Life" was written by the group's regular songwriter Andy Hill and Ian Bairnson, who was a prolific session guitarist and had worked with Bucks Fizz many times. It was also produced by Hill. The song's lyrics talk about feelings of paranoia and insecurity. Stratus (English Band)
Stratus (originally "Clive Burr's Escape", then briefly known as "Tygon" and "Stratas"), was a short-lived English melodic hard rock supergroup. It was formed by ex-Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, the Troy brothers from then-inactive Praying Mantis; plus ex-Grand Prix vocalist Bernie Shaw and keyboardist Alan Nelson. The band split after only one album, ''Throwing Shapes'', released in 1985. Bernie Shaw became the lead vocalist for Uriah Heep the following year. Runner (band)
Runner were a short-lived British rock band, formed in 1978 out of a friendship between Steve Gould of the band Rare Bird and Alan Merrill of the band Arrows. Steve Gould had been touring with Merrill's live band Arrows after his band Rare Bird broke up in 1976. When the Arrows broke up in 1978 both singers were looking for new projects. They went into the studio to do a rough demo with bass player Mick Feat, who was playing with Van Morrison at the time, and drummer Dave Dowle who was playing with the band Whitesnake. After a demo from the band they were signed by Arista Records subsidiary Acrobat Records in the UK and Island Records in the USA immediately. They went to The Manor recording studio in Oxfordshire England and recorded their first and only album with James Guthrie producing. ''Thundersteel'' is the sixth studio album by the American heavy metal band Riot, released after coming back from a period of inactivity in the mid-1980s. It features a totally different line-up from that of the previous work, with guitarist Mark Reale being the only remaining member. It was re-issued in 2003 by Collectables Records with slightly amended artwork and re-issued on 180g vinyl as a 2-LP set with ''The Privilege of Power'' by SPV on February 25, 2013. ''Fire Down Under'' is the third studio album by American heavy metal band Riot, released in 1981, it's the last album to feature original vocalist Guy Speranza. The song "Flashbacks" is dedicated to Neal Kay, a British DJ who supported heavy metal in the UK during the new wave of British heavy metal. The album was re-issued on CD in 1997 by the German-based High Vaultage label, utilizing a new, controversial remix by former Riot producer Steve Loeb, and in 1999 by Metal Blade Records in the U.S., this time featuring the original Elektra mix. The latest re-issue came in 2014 courtesy of Varese Sarabande. All three versions contain various bonus tracks recorded for the original Capitol Records version of ''Fire Down Under'' which the band were unhappy with.
