Magician Of The Silver Sky
is the 8th ''Case Closed'' feature film. The film was released in Japan on April 17, 2004. A Region 2 DVD has been released by Universal Pictures. The film brought a box office income of 2.8 billion yen. Plot A stage actress, Julie wants to use her star sapphire for her upcoming play and asks for Mouri Kogoro help to protect it after showing Kogoro a letter from the Kaito Kid. On the day of the theft, Kid appears at the theatre disguised up as Shinichi Kudo but ends up fleeing in the end without the jewel. To thank them, Julie invites Kogoro and everyone to Hakodate, and they all travel on an airplane to get there. In the air, one of the show actor, Shinjo, who was supposed to be elsewhere and Ran's mother, Eri, joins them on the plane. As the plane takes off, Julie comes in physical contact with most of the individuals she invited, making them all suspects in the case of her death. The case was solved by Eri and the culprit was later found to be the makeup artist, Natsuki. ...

''Case Closed'', also known as , is a Japanese detective manga series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's ''shōnen'' manga magazine ''Weekly Shōnen Sunday'' since January 1994, with its chapters collected in 102 ''tankōbon'' volumes as of September 2022. Due to legal problems with the name ''Detective Conan'', the English language releases from Funimation and Viz were renamed to ''Case Closed''. The story follows the high school detective Shinichi Kudo who was transformed into a child while investigating a mysterious organization and generally solved a multitude of cases by impersonating his childhood best friend's father and various other characters. Twenty-five feature films have been released based on the manga and anime series , known as ''Case Closed'' in North America. The first seven were directed by Kenji Kodama, films eight to fourteen were directed by Yasuichiro Yamamoto, films fifteen to twenty-one were directed by Kobun Shizuno, film twenty-two were directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa, films twenty-three and twenty-four were directed by Chika Nagaoka, and film twenty-five was directed by Susumu Mitsunaka. The films have been released in April of each year starting in 1997, excluding 2020. Each film features an original plotline rather than being an adaptation of the manga's story. The manga series ''Case Closed'', known as in Japan, features a large number of recurring fictional characters created by Gosho Aoyama. The series takes place in modern-day Japan and follows an amateur detective Jimmy Kudo (Japanese name: Shinichi Kudo) who solves cases in an episodic fashion while in his childhood body and under the alias Conan Edogawa.
